    Ah yes, another video about how much you hate canned food xD For real, this was enjoyable and informative as always. I think I found the tip about Nate's oil refinery boost item the most useful; I usually don't bother with timed items but 4 hours is a decent length

    Sir, I must say, I'm playing Anno since 1502 and your build is massiv AND beautiful! it's good to look at and efficient. I always pack the Islands full to its last Tile probably ecause my German efficiency-sense tickles me everytime I leave space unused. But man you doing a fine job and your tutorials are really helpful! Thanks a lot.

    The other awesome thing that Chef Michel does is eliminate the need for transporting peppers from an outside island to your main. In almost all cases, you don't have red-pepper fertility on your main island (e.g., Crown Falls), so he saves even more money and the hassles that come with managing trade routes. He's one of those "legendary" epic-level specialists.

    • @TakaYouTube

Now I'm a mid going to expert range player for this title, but still enjoys the channel as much. Thank you for these guide, I watch with attention, never knowing if I will learn something new.
    The only 2 good chains I really struggle with are sewing machines and fur coat, I can never get enough. Even by hoarding with the AI, and using the dockland trading.

    Is it possible to have a video focusing on oil and rail tracks, for mid to late game. One problem I have is for example, in crown falls, having 1 electric plant for town, one for industry and the truck one, and no matter what I do, trains works weird. Sometimes all of them (the trains) going for the truck oil building, and the other waiting for oil in the meantime.

    What I usually do with canned food early game is to mix it with the sewing machines, so three canneries and one sewing machine exploit an iron mine completely, it is not that hard. Of course that changes when electricity comes in.

    • @TakaYouTube
      @TakaYouTube  Před rokem +1

      Yes but that does not change the facts that canned food chain is a net negative income until you have electricity. That's why I usually tell people to build that chain dead last and only build a single cannery and two artisan kitchens just to get you into engineers and get electricity unlocked. It's a drain on your strained economy early game to try and fully supply canned food because you'll never come out ahead until you reach the breakpoint with engineers where it starts making money.

    Hey, about your special scrap video: do I understand correctly that I can't have buy orders for nice scrap too or Nate can't sell me enough special scrap? If so, I will have to dive for normal and nice scrap, won't I? It's been a long time that I played in crown falls, so I do not remember clearly, but don't I need those other types too? So you said many useful things BUT what I didn't know and it was mind-blowing for me after 150h of gameplay:
    1. You can select multiple islands in the Statistics. This is very useful since it overlaps the Production tab supply/demand across islands and it's something really needed when you split the workforce on multiple islands (with the use of the Commuter Pier) in order to grasp if the current needs are fulfilled.
    2. You can actually see Oil/Fuel production in the Statistics\Production tab and selecting the All Goods category. Initially I though the Devs forgot about it (or left it out) since I never look in that category because it's a big wall of text and I always go by a specific category. Guess what, it's not in any specific category like Raw/Intermediate Materials.
    Also , in addition to what you said for sorting the islands, what's with all the mess/mistakes for column names e.g. Filtering by Goods (what does it mean "by Goods", to me it doesn't express/mean anything), Filtering by Consumption/Production (inconsistent labels Consumption/Production vs Demand/Supply) etc. => it's not "Filtering", it's "Sorting"..
    PS. WTF is happening here: imgur.com/a/3cphvLN
    I'm not producing Rum, I'm just importing it.

    How about the lady who produces chocolate with bread production

    • @TakaYouTube
      @TakaYouTube  Před 2 lety

      She's okay but she loses a lot of value later on in the game when you have fewer workers and artisans... You're not consuming bread that often and you have to set up dedicated routes to try to keep your storage from capping out on bread so you can keep making chocolate.

  • @SenjaiYT
    @SenjaiYT Před 2 lety

    What about importing the stew with dock lands? When imported you only have the maintenance of the cannery and the substitute good seems okay no?

    • @TakaYouTube
      @TakaYouTube  Před 2 lety

      Yeah of course you can import it with Docklands! But if I was to go with Docklands, then it would be the answer to everything and negate every other thing I talk about with optimization as well.

    • @TakaYouTube
      @TakaYouTube  Před 2 lety +1

      That's up to the player... They are no more efficient than standard coffee roasters in the new world. Some people just find them easier to deal with because you don't have to have coffee plantations, but that's really minor in my opinion. They are also incredibly expensive.
