That's pretty sick. Can i ask for one? Can i ask for the Varla Eagle One? Please pretty please, because I can't afford one even working for a couple of years.
I love this commute/tech space, fits in perfect with your other videos. I use my galaxy watch 5 pro for turn by turn direction, media controls, and notifications during my rides, and would've loved to see how your other tech makes riding even better. Can't wait for the ebike review. I own an aventon level, absolutely love that bike.
Thanks so much! I am honestly so happy to read your comment. I was worried this would not fit as well with my other videos, but I personally loved making this video. I'm excited for the eBike video too!
TY Mike, Great review!
Great scooter picks! I slightly wish you would have included the NIU scooters too. I just ordered one yesterday and I’ve heard great things about that brand.
Definitely going to subscribe to see upcoming videos!
Nice video! Very thorough! We love the Ninebot Max!
Nice video yet different. Hey we all have to diversify and you did a superb job
Thanks!!
Great video Mike, would love to see one on electric bikes as well
Coming soon! What is your favorite electric bike?
Loving my 2022 Apollo City Pro... so silky smooth it's like living the PEV rider's dream
Great video Mike. The Wolf King is a UNIT. Looking forward to more scooter/e -bike videos 🤘
I'll definitely need your help to film that e-bike video!
I admire whoever shot those clips of you riding the scooters. Perfect sync. Nice ride and nice work!
he used a 360 camera
@@truthseeker6804 Yeah that's part of the reason. I also noticed the camera needs to maintain the same velocity as his scooter. They had to coordinate very well during that period.
That's a test I look forward to watching
I have a Xiaomi and works really well! Do you recommend full face helmets like the one you're using? I'm thinking about getting an xnito
Hello mate you need to change the xiamoi section about the folding mechanism, the hook on the bell is supposed to clip onto the clip on the mud guard that way you can carry it like a “briefcase”
Love your videos! I ended up getting the turboant x7 max. I know it's not in the video but it's awesome. Awesome video as always 🎉
This was a fun change. Nice work Mike. ☕
Thank you!
E-move cruiser is the best. Horn, turn signals, brake lights, I cruise at 28 ish miles per hour. I’m 200 pounds and the battery lasts forever. I’ve rode it 30 miles before with a lot of battery left. I bought a Dualtron Victor and it’s fun and hauls but for 1300 more than the E-Move it constantly has fluctuating battery issues and tires never stay inflated. E-Move way more stable of a scooter and dependable.
Great video Mike but how about hover-1 journey because i have one.
Which setting is the regenerative breaking for the eagle one
How does the varla eagle one compare to the solar p1 2.0? The varla eagle one is on sale right now for 1399 and the solar p1 2.0 with everything and discounts is around 1350.
I feel like you didnt give the Varla Eagle One the props it deserves. It has dual 1000w motors, eco and turbo mode, single and dual drive, it has a key ignition to start it for security, it has dual piston zoom hydraulic brakes that are phenomenal, brake lights, and a headlight and running lights at night, it folds down, has several deck designs to choose from, you can get an extra charger or off road wheels as a free gift which it has 2 charger ports and can be charged in half the time with 2 connected, and it is very stable at high speed. Its 52 volts so it does have alot more power than most, will easily do 40 mph which is pretty scary to do without protective gear, and 3 speeds. If you arent going top speed the whole time you can get alot more than 40 miles out of it. It definitely beats the scooter you chose for best distance in every category. The build quality alone is head and shoulders better.
The Xiaomi does have a hook to hold it down it’s on the bell u hook it to that little hold on the back wheel
Any reviews on solar scooters specifically p1 pro
I have Segway ninebot I like it a lot
what is better the lynx scooter or the solar p1 20
I have an Emove cruiser with 4500 miles on it and I can confidently say that it’s the best single motor scooter you can buy right now. The only downside is like you said that parts get loose easily but this isn’t a big deal if you’re a handyman and are good at making repairs. Loctite and regular checkups (every 50 miles) will ensure a stable feeling scooter. However, The real world range is definitely not 63 miles, it’s actually about 50 miles on flat ground going 20 mph. If you go 15mph on flat ground infrequent stops, you may hit 60 miles. Unrelated to the cruiser, it’s important to note that the small budget scooters you showed all have under 20 miles of range. Manufactures will often exaggerate the range and casual consumers who aren’t very familiar with the escooter community will assume the manufacturers are telling the truth. If you want to know the real range of these scooters, highly recommend checking out the electric scooter guide channel, they are the pros.
What's the best for an urban hilly environment?
Any recommendation on a scooter for a 12 year old? She rides 4 wheelers and is adventurous and trying to get her one that’s safe but fun
I didn't hear you talk about ride quality between solid tires and air tires which of them have solid tires or air tires.
great video! : D Oil, car, and gasoline companies prevented the building of effective and efficient Mass Transit, therefore, we have No Choice but to ride e-scooters (or haul 2-4 tons of metal cars on our commutes). I ride e-scooters, and try to avoid gasoline cars at ALL costs!
electric scooters are definitely a fun and affordable way to commute!
I would definitely do a G30P over the Gotrax.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the Inmotion L9 series.
Very fast charging with long range.
Good for its 1,000 price point.
Yeah, I love a long range at a low price, but I had to draw the line somewhere. I originally wanted this to be a top 5 video, but it kept getting longer and longer. Had to cut it off at top 7! Scooters are too good
@@MikeOBrienMedia fair enough! It's up to you to draw the line somewhere ☺️
I am obsessed with scooters now lol XD
Yoo Preciate the video! I just sold my car and plan to doordash on a scooter, I live in downtown Denver so it’s more convenient and no more car insurance lol. This video made up my mind ✊🏾🔥
That is becoming more and more popular! No need to pay for gas, easier to park, etc.
Just be careful out there!
I'm getting a varla next week
Perfect presentation , however I could not distinguish the names of all the scooters . Maybe video text of brand , so there is no doubt
Best close to 40 mph package with a little range for the least money for a guest scooter?
You definitely should have the NIU KQi3 pro on here
More of a budget commuter scooter but I agree. I have it and it’s great. About 18 miles of range full throttle 20mph at 180 pounds with all gear and bookbag
All I can think of when I see these videos is the popular shorts that I see him in, and all I do is laugh because it’s so weird seeing him so serious
Most of the Ebikes and EScooters are weight dependent. You mentioned in your "about" comments that are you 6'2" How much do you weigh and has that noticeably affected the performance of the transportation devices you have reviewed?
One recomendation is the Dragon gtr or gt or gts (most likely aussie only)
the bell of the Xiaomi scooter acts as the hook when folding up. attaches to the fender
Wow. How did I not know this? I think because it was off-center, I never thought of that, but you are 100% correct. Thanks for sharing!
So many of the top 10 lists I see are all recommending Chinese based brands it's strange for a mainly US based audience. Would love to see more hands on testing with the US based brands like Unagi and Levy, and even Taur from the EU. Segway and Niu are nice but for most people here it's not really a great option since it's near impossible to get support.
Which do you recommend for riding on a college campus?
ninebot max
I could cut that built in lock on gotraxs in less then 5 seconds....the lock is useless after your back is turned...investe in a quality grinder proof lock
Theres a few good solid locks but at a rem price.....get a motorcycle disc lock with alarm aswell and a tracker tag....to protect your investment also lock your scooter in a place where there are lots of people...not down a side street👊🏼👍🏼
Pro tip: The Xiaomi folds down and lock into the nub on the rear fender. Thats what the big hook on the bell is for :P
Scooters are perfect for getting around town and urban areas, but there needs to be more safety laws in-place because too make accidents are happening between scooters and pedestrians.
It's basically the wild west with scooters right now. Regulation will follow
@@MikeOBrienMedia dude denver is wild, but it’s rarely scooter owners messing up, always those Lime and Uber rentals
I wish reviewers would stop quoting manufacturer range. A better alternative is to quote Wh, which accounts for voltage and battery size difference
Thanks for the feedback. I think I will actually just include my own range testing next time
Could you ride in the rain with these?
Yeah most of the,
How come no one ever mentions Yume scooters
Which Ones are for kids
No Rion?
For 2 ,000€ I can buy Vsett 10+ on black Friday and LG batery also 2 engines ,fidraulic brakes and it goes 80kmh and for 1,000€ is Vsett8 or 9 full susp Its.yust mine apinion .
Nami Burn E all the way 👌🏽
Definitely an impressive scooter line
@@MikeOBrienMedia You should give it a try! ❤️
0:40 what is bro doing in the back
Mike but you never said offroad or best off-road and I don't think maybe dick fastest best ones and best accileration
Give me one to go to work😍 my girl uses my car to go to school and work..
GMAX ULTRA IS 👑
So underrated in my opinion. I absolutely loved it. Super reliable and well thought out
Just want to say that the xiomi folds together and the bell and the back of the scooter snaps together
Hey just wondering if you still have the coupon code affiliated with turboant10 interested on purchasing one ! Thank you!
my design is the best !! they make scooters too disposable !
All I want is a $50 scooter to drive 9 blocks to work
Im not a big fan of these, people use them on the sidewalks all over Europe and the lack of sound they produce often leads to near accidents
Better start training that ultra instinct dodging
They can definitely be dangerous. I ride responsibly, but I have seen many people (particularly on rental apps) that are riding in an unsafe manner
You blame an inanimate object for the behaviour of idiots?
Weird.........
Shut up or join our scooter gang!
Not like those noisey pushbikes......
Edit: Near accidents? WTF ?
Segway gt2......
get a moped that uses gas, almost unlimited range within reason and goes 30 mph and cost
The transition sound effects are annoyingly loud!
Thanks for the feedback!
Do not order parts from Voromotors, it takes them 7 days before they ship the parts out to you
Varla customer service I've heard is non existent and awful.
good to know! I have not had any issues with mine yet, so admittedly, I did not contact customer service
🐋
Hey, in your next video, can you avoid riding with only (1) hand? (New riders might believe that riding with (1) hand is cool or acceptable, when in fact, it is dangerous.) Or, explain WHY riding with only (1) hand is very dangerous and should be avoided?
I only ride with one hand to hold a camera and film when there is no other option. I have gone riding with many many other people, but I have never seen anyone try to ride with one hand because they thought it was cool
Oldhead he is holding a camera in his othrr hand lol
He's not anyone's mother. It's common sense that you should ride a scooter with 2 hands and use an helmet like he said in the video. Also he's giving a review not teaching how you should ride a scooter.
I think those men in gov should mind their own business instead of making up silly rules about these basic scooters. The police should be dealing with proper cimes more as groups than on their own really. And sensible people who use them for work reasons would probably be wearing helmets and safety gear anyway really 😀👨🦽🌎🌞🏝💖
