      But I'd still rather have way too much than way too little. Say what you want about ubisoft but they always give you your money's worth. And as far as I know always release complete games on day 1. And their lineup of quality games is really hard to compete with. Far Cry, Rainbow Six, Assassins creed, watch dogs, the division, for honor, the crew, immortals, anno 1800. The only bad games they've made recently are the ghost recon games. I guess that's the franchise.they decided to dump all their shit ideas into.

It think Ubisoft reaches a solid middle ground. I only like Watchdogs and AC though and play the Crew 2 which I "stand". Division was fine, didn't care D2 though. Can't speak on Seige, Ghost Recon, or Far Cry though since I don't play them enough.

Or in the case of AC, visit a historical location. Odyssey is one of my favorite games ever. I really enjoyed both Division 1 and D2. Ghost Recon Breakpoint is pretty fun too. I've got many hours in WD: Legion and I really like it too. Overall, I'd say I like Ubisoft games. • @styl__
    @styl__ Před 2 lety +2

    There is much I disagree with in your review. However the biggest problem is your claim that the controls are bad when it's simply not the case. This is completely subjective and doesn't take into account player skill and player willingness to learn a foreign control scheme. The trickster mode for example takes a little learning but quickly becomes very fluid and easy to use and there is even an option for "Steep controls" which lets people use the same controls as Steep, a game that saw much praise for its controls.
    As for the "input delay" that seems to be intentional to keep a bit or realism to the controls and not go full on SSX Tricky crazy arcade style. You cant turn on a dime in any of these sports IRL and you need to constantly be looking ahead at the track to plan your next move. I think it was a smart move and grounds the sports in a bit more realism while keeping the over the top action in place.

    I did alpha testing for this back in like March and the one thing they really wanted feedback on was to make sure the shop worked correctly. Due to covid I didn't have anything else to do so I pretty much binged and completed the game, still didn't unlock any new cosmetic gear outside the pink smoke and gold cover helmet for essentially beating the game. The only way to get *some* cosmetic was by going through a series of daily challenges that went up to 15. Meaning getting new gear could take over 2 weeks for a simple helmet. Sucks that it's still the case.

    I'm hopeful they change player collision. The survey after the beta had questions directly asking about what you liked/what you'd change about player collision in mass races, including removing player collision.
    I'm not planning on buying Riders Republic immediately, and the trial week is over, but I'm really curious about the deadzone and input delay you described because that is something I was not conscious of and now I'm wondering about it.
    I do kinda wish that there was my commentary about how they did flips/spins/rotations because I think they came up with a really clever implementation that uses less inputs (up, down, left, right) instead of most games (up, down, left, right + diagonals) but achieves 12 different rotations compared to the usual 8.

    kind of a small feature but not one I see many people talking about, is the fact that at any point, you can switch to walking and back to you equipped gear. This can be a huge time saver. Also the handling improves with better bikes. It actually feels pretty close to IRL, not exact but close. Your not going to be turning sharply while also peddling at top speed. Just by not peddling, you gain a lot of steering input and if you break while turning, you will drift. Also the new unlocks are EVERYTHING! How can you not get exited over new equipment lol yah the stats go up incrementally but after a while that turns into a bike that can do things you thought you couldn't!
