I Couldn’t Believe This About Senegal 🇸🇳

  • Apart from Senegal being an epicentre of West African musical creativity, the capital city Dakar is known as one of the most fitness-focused cities in Africa, and the keep-fit craze can be seen among its citizens.
    Across the country’s biggest university, Cheikh Anta Diop is a beach and an outdoor fitness centre about 2km long. Every night, more than 500 people gather there to work out.
    I am not exaggerating. In Dakar outdoor exercise is simply a way of life.
    On my tour around the city, I meet a group at one of the stadia in Senegal's capital who wanted to use the facility but couldn't get in because they obviously can't afford the ticket. As part of the work I'm doing with young people across the continent, I took permission from the authority and bought them tickets granting them ACCESS to the stadium because I know among them is the next Sadio Mané, Messi and Ronaldo who just need an opportunity to express themselves.
    We get inspired by inspiring others.

    bellissimo documentario davvero. conosco i senegalesi da più di 40 anni, oramai. non sapevo di quello che ci fai vedere. forse perché non ho purtroppo mai visitato il Senegal o è la nuova generazione. io invece ho conosciuto i loro genitori. comunque bello e utile. grazie. special thanks to you.

    I've always heard such great things about Dakar. I want to like it. I just got here yesterday and I'm not liking it thus far. I hope the changes. Your video is giving me something to look forward to. I am really in to fitness so I like the fact Dakar is fitness crazed. I noticed people working out on the beach last night and I as impressed. • @edwonder_pt
      @edwonder_pt  Před rokem +2

      @@yellowbuttons4289 It depends on individual experience. As for me, I enjoyed everything about Senegal, the food, the music, the fitness, the activities, and the people. I visited all the tourist and non-tourist attractions. I also visited the Gambia which is only 300km away from Dakar. I didn't enjoy The Gambia as much as I enjoyed Senegal. Again, it is all about individual experience. I believe you'll enjoy your stay. Bon voyage!
