He had to act in bad movies because he had financial problems but when he's in good movies no mather the lead or side cast he's a stand out from everyone. I loved the film until I realised I'd seen the directors cut ending the first few times, and not the terrible walking up the street to sub-par Oasis music ending. God that sucked. Great film concept though, amazing in this era of reboots that it was never picked up again!
I remember seeing Face/Off in the theater with my friend and we both stood up at the end and clapped. Maybe the rest of the crowd thought we were nuts, but we thought it kicked ass big time. We were in our 20s, not little kids, and just enjoyed the heck out of this movie. It was a great summer action movie, but it had emotion and heart

Finally watched the whole film a few months back after only having caught bits and pieces on tv in the past. Had a blast with it. Really fun, silly (in a good way) action film.
Coincidentally watched this movie again tonight and then I saw this video popping up. I must say this movie aged really well and it was such a fun and emotional ride from the start. It’s not a guilty pleasure, it’s a great film.
I would watch this all the time with my dad when I was growing up. It was one of our favorites. And I am so glad that someone else out there appreciates how awesome of a job each actor had to do to act and seem like the other person. :)
One of the 10 to 15 most underrated action films of all time. John Woo's best WESTERN film he did here anyway..... it’s such a great movie! remember watching it for the first time when I was about 6-7 years old and being soooo amazed by it. Rewatched it during the quarantine again and once again was freaking SHOOK at how good it was and how it played with my emotions and feelings. And the action scenes! Sooo well done!
I LOVE this movie, it's the reason I started watching films with Cage and Travolta. I've seen it dozens of times and I still completely enjoy it. I'll never forget Castor teaching Sean's daughter (and us) how to properly stab someone, the image of the blade turning is forever engraved in my mind.

Yep, this is one of my all time favorite movies from the 90's which I can't decide which one was best, because they are all so good and original in every aspect to keep your interested through the whole damn thing. I love it like I had to buy it along with Tombstone, ConAir, Pulp Fiction, Independence Day, Bad Boys, Braveheart, Clueless(for the lady friends), Casino, Heat(so good), Shawshank...I could go on and on and oh Terminator 2 Judgement Day started it all off that decade, I think, I dunno, either way it's on my list as all time favorites and fav 90's movies.

I completely agree with everything Jeremy said in this review. Face/Off was one of my favorite movies of the 90's. It revolved around an interesting concept, contained great action sequences, emotional moments, memorable lines, and intriguing performances by both Nic Cage and John Travolta. Also, 8:15 - 8:52 was effing hilarious, LOL

Gina Gershon is awesome. She was the best part of Showgirls, since she was the only actor in the movie who realized how silly it was. Everyone else acted like they were in Citizen Kane or The Godfather.
This was the 90s action movie I saw most recently...and I was mad that I waited so long because it instantly became one of my favorites. It is overdrive all the time with this movie and I can't get enough of it; the final action scene was like a Family Guy giant chicken fight and I just loved every moment of it (I wished it went on even longer holding that manic energy).
Ever since I subscribed to this channel, I've been waiting for this Face/Off review. It's one of my favorite movies, because the 90's cheese is supreme, but still delivers awesome performances.

Gina Gershon is awesome. She was the best part of Showgirls, since she was the only actor in the movie who realized how silly it was. Everyone else acted like they were in Citizen Kane or The Godfather.

This was the 90s action movie I saw most recently...and I was mad that I waited so long because it instantly became one of my favorites. It is overdrive all the time with this movie and I can't get enough of it; the final action scene was like a Family Guy giant chicken fight and I just loved every moment of it (I wished it went on even longer holding that manic energy).
Love Face/Off. Also love that the bald dude went on to direct the Notebook 😂
Fun fact: Thomas Jane made his debut in an Indian movie. Look up Padmati Sandhya Ragam.

Ever since I subscribed to this channel, I've been waiting for this Face/Off review. It's one of my favorite movies, because the 90's cheese is supreme, but still delivers awesome performances.
