It's rusty, the face is blurred and the rims are a lot higher than usual. Is it safe to say it is fake?
Lol. Well spotted. :D
great info, thanks for sharing
Thanks. Hope it helps.
great i just returned my change to a shop after i got suspicious of the colour. i quikly found this video clip and returned to the shop next door 10 minutes later after doing magnet test.
Hi. Well done. Sometimes the shops won't take them back. Make sure you get a replacement otherwise, if it is sent off to the Royal Mint and proved to be a fake, you will lose your money. Thanks for sharing this.
Mines looks real weighs like the real coin and feels like the real coin. But I got told it was fake when i tried using it at a self checkout and it kept throwing it out then a staff came over and said it is fake because its shiny
But it weighs 12g
Hi Michal. Sorry you had to experience that. It's a problem that has been getting worse. I used to get bags of coins from the banks, and I have had bags where every one of the coins was a fake.
I just got a fake new £1 coin, it has the hologram but is the wrong colour, too gold.
Hi. Thanks for sharing that. The Royal Mint say the new £1 coin is fake proof, but they also said that about the £2 coin and in my research, approximately 40% of the 2015 £2 coins were fake.
Haha I've just been scammed
Hi. Unfortunately if you went to the bank and asked for £20 in £2 coins, unless they were all new ones, the chances are 2 or 3 of them would be fake.
