Installing it was incredible! Like an hour to get fully installed in my Xbox 360, listening the loading theme knowing that behind the slow and paused music it's a game like no one before (and by the date, no one after)

God, the nostalgia...I remember being in high school, sitting in class, anxiously awaiting the day to end so I could get back home and continue playing. I'd get home, play for a bit, and end up eventually pausing the game to finally do my homework. All the while, this played on loop in the background...

So. Gta VI just got revealed by Rockstar, which is cool.
But somehow it makes me... Sad. This game, it's story, the characters, the locations, the music especially. It's a core memory of mine.
Playing GTA VI will feel like moving on. Moving on from your childhood, your teenage years and your nostalgia.
While I'm excited, I don't think I'm ready...
It feels so strange to be THIS attached to a piece of media.

I remember when my brother got GTA V at launch and watching him playing it beside him and it's one of the best and nostalgic things I can remember in my life tbh, I never got to play GTA V cause of my age and I wasn't into it back then but now that I'm older and there's thanksgiving/black Friday sale I finally got the chance the try the game out, and honestly this game (or atleast the story-mode) still holds up 10 years later.
Well the main reason you and i..we...all feel like that cause los santos is like a home to all of us now, so many years that passed being there is just like....home and now that we are leaving from our home for once more again it feels weird and different, yet we got a big adventure in front of us, lets keep it up and..sometimes it isn't bad to look back.
And just think, I'll be 18 when GTA VI comes out. Even then, I know one day in a couple of years, the same way I'm feeling now of GTA V and all the memories I've had of this game, I know I'll probably eventually feel the same way about GTA VI one day, because that's what life is. It's a constant memory that one day, the future will be the present, and then the past.

As controversial as gta online is, the gtaV single player is one of the best and most memorable experiences I’ve had in gaming. It’s a story I’ll always remember

TBH, I always treat GTA 5 and GTA Online as two different games: GTA 5 being Michael, Franklin, and Trevor's story (which is the underrated gem), and GTA Online being the controversial multiplayer

I had this friend... His name was Fernando, i knew him from pre school, we were close friends back then, but nothing too much.
Years passed and i lost contact with him, until 2013, when i was 11 years old in 6th grade, me and him ended up dropping in the same school again and at the same class, i don't remember much from it and how... but we ended up recreating our bond, and it was like never before, we had a common interest: Skateboarding, our classes were in the afternoon, so in the morning we would skateboard, then split to our houses to lunch, then we would meetup again with our skateboards to go to school together, then after school, we, together, would go to eachothers streets to skateboard, but he was a kind of spoiled kid, so he had an xbox 360, we didn''t (by we i mean that in this group [of 3] i also had another friend who also skateboarded and made a huge impact on my life at the time... his name was Felipe) have videogame consoles, at most we had computers, but not super strong ones... So we would also spent most of our time at his house playing videogames, i can't forget how many afternoons i was at his house playing videogames and chatting and having what i would get to know nowadays as the BEST TIME OF MY LIFE... And it indeed was... the best time of my life... At the time i wasn't super into videogames (i loved them, but just wasn't super geeky, i always loved playing san andreas tho) so i didn't even know there was such a thing as GTA V, i knew GTA IV and wasn't into the news of videogames, this friend presented GTA V to me, and it became to be the game we would play the most, all afternoon until we were tired of it, but would get on it again later lol.
After 2013 we unfortunally got split from classes, as he went to school by the morning now, and i would go in the afternoon, and we didn't get to skateboard as much as before, and this other friend, Felipe, kinda vanished from the story (I regained contact with him recently, and he works close to my job, i'll try and tie our friendship once again). Years passed and our friendship was awesome, i would go to his house EVERYDAY to play GTAV on xbox360 (the years were 2013,14,15,16) he didn't have the online tho, we would only play offline games, so we played gta V singleplayer all the time, and i have so many memories of him, his aunt would sometimes take us to some places in our city to have fun, like open grass fields, or the local University, which had a small Skatepark...
...It wouldn't be a great story without a sad ending would it?...
2017 came in, but a little before that i kinda that lost contact with him for a couple of weeks, or maybe months, i don't recall.
in 2017 i started Highschool... which meant one thing: i would start to study in the morning, so i would be able to see my friend again, and what was before an awesome friendship, would become even better.
One thing i forgot to mention is that 2013 wasn't just great because of the Skateboard and my two friends... it was great because i did so much stuff i would never have done, so many good memories, i kissed for the first time, i would spend literally all day outside my house having fun on the streets of my neighborhood, i interacted so much with so many people about so many stuff... Ahhhhh i can even remember how the sun and the sunrays and the sunlight casted on the walls of my school while leaving with my friends and our skateboards looked so beautiful (I'm so silly for even liking these things lol), like a cutscene... it was indeed a canonic moment of my life.
As i was saying, in 2017 i started Highschool in the morning, and would be able to see my friend more, but when i finally met him again, he told me something that would change my life and his forever... He had cancer...
Years go by, i kept visiting him, his cancer didn't change much in our friendship, until 2019... I was living my normal life, i remember i was having IT classes in a course my parents were paying for me, at that time for some reason i hadn't been paying him many visits, from what i can remember he had 'won' his cancer so everything was normal almost like before, actually it had been months since the last time i went to go play xbox with him, which btw he had bought a Xbox one, so the news caught me really off guard... The week he died i remember thinking of going to pay him a visit, but i thought to myself "well maybe another time"... There was no another time, it was too late... I have so many memories of you my dear friend, i'll never forget you, Fernando.
This melancholic vibe of the GTA V pause menu makes me think of all the good moments with my friend and at the same time makes me think of all the times i listened to this song while we were playing GTA V.

I just realized that 2 days ago during my birthday, GTA 5 was also having its own birthday, 10 freaking years.
I don’t know how many of you will read this but man this game came out when I was 13 years old bruh. Im 22 now and this music just reminds me of the times of just not having to worry about a damn thing and just enjoying life. I played this game with my 2 brothers and we didn’t have much growing up but this game was an escape. I don’t talk to my brothers too much these days but this music right here will always remind me of those times. I hope someone out there can relate in any similar way.

Me and my friends couldn’t wait to get home from school to play this game online especially during finance and felony in 2016 it’s 2022 now and things are a lot different now I don’t talk to them anymore I don’t know where they are or what their doing but this song reminds me of 2 things the good times I had playing it and one recently I woke put my tv on this was in my recommendation I played it open the blinds in my room looked outside at it was my life flashed for an instant just understanding how fast time and life go I’m 20 now and sure life does scare you I still haven’t a clue what I wanna do with my life I got no job no future no friends no girlfriend I’m just alone and this song is what made me realise that I just things turn out differently in my future but hey it’s a good game just wish they’d move on and make another for another generation to play and have conversations like this by that time me and you will probably be our 30s or late 30s by the time rockstar make another game

i can relate. im 23 and my brother is 17 now. Back in those days we played gta 4 and 5, he wouldnt want to hurt civilians because he felt like they were like real people with families ahaha. Real good times. Drifting on the airport with my cousin. All nighters on school holidays playing this, halo, and all the other classics. You never know what you have until its gone.

Really one of the greatest games I’ve played. Probably the best game I’ve ever played. No other game has been consistently enjoyable for an entire decade. Hopefully GTA 6 lives up to the hype because I think it’ll be very difficult for it to top the memories from this one.

I came home the other day after work and my wife said, “I’ve been sitting here for ages just listening to your relaxing music you had on the stereo.” It took me ages to realise I’d forgotten to turn of the Xbox and this had been playing all day in my flat. I would know this because I'm now in college and I failed my exams and I really thought I wasn't. But in year 10 and year 11, I just got blindsided by my mates and couldn't see the bigger picture!
Listing to this after watching the GTA 6 trailer leaves me with a feeling I can’t describe. GTA 5 was such a massive part of my childhood in a way no other game or entertainment product has. Beyond excited for the GTA 6 but saying goodbye to GTA 5 is extremely bitter sweet
I miss 2013, being a 13 y.o teenager, a bit more naive then today and more unexperienced in life in general.
When the social medias were a bit better and not as much toxic as today,being more young and more happy towards life and more curios and hopeful and energic.
And i also miss playing gta 5 as it was something brand new,when offline was cool as well and online wasnt filled with the griefers.
Those days will never come back, i miss them so much its so unfortunate you can only move on and never relive at least 1 day as what it was back then

So many memories in this game, it has been such an important part of my childhood. Many people have the same feeling, thats without a doubt because its an amazing game. Forget about the stupid modding, the story mode and online are amazing. Its also amazing to see that the game is so active today.

This is one of the most nostalgic sounds that i ever heard in my life for now. I dont know it just reminds me of the simpler times of being a kid without a care in the world and just playing video games with friends. This is even harder to listen to now. August is the last month of freedom before hell starts in September and I'm already sad because I've done so many great things during these 2 months and how many great people I've met. My opinion on this music still stands and it will probably never change...keep pushing people because that's the only thing we can do in the hardest of times.

The trailer for GTA VI was released almost 2 weeks ago and 2023 is ending. It was a great year and i played alot of online. I still love this game and still feel nostalgic as time goes on. When gta 6 comes out this game will still be remembered at least in my eyes just like gta 4 was. Take care everyone and have a great christmas and see you in 2024.

with all the hype surrounding the new game i decided to finish V once again, and only this time i dedicated myself to fully enjoying what the campaign offers us, the places, characters, missions... listen to this soundtrack while i reflect on the impact that V has had on my life over the last 9 years makes me feel very emotional and grateful

+Akshay Kumar Well, I'm a 2000s kid. So when GTA V came out I was in eighth grade. School was easy, thus enjoyable. I was fit, funny, everybody loved me. My english drastically improved.
It was because of this game. The way it is written and presented, and all the things I've learnt and all the last great prepubescent experiences I have had were always accompanied by at least some game time at home of this game, tired but happy. I loved this theme back then but it never had anything special to it. Now, it makes me reminisce. Things have been bad. I'm no longer fit, funny or happy. Life ain't that easy anymore, and I still have a whole life ahead of me mind you.
But I still play this. And everytime I pause, I can vividly seeall the memories. Feels bad, man.

In 2020 lockdown, I started playing this game, and it was the first game that introduced me to the gaming world. Oh man.. that feeling, the first day of playing this masterpiece will be in my heart forever. Now after 3 years we have GTA 6 around the corner. I hope this game will never die ❤
It's simply magical how such music can make us feel and connect. Such Loneliness, yet bringing us together as a Community, we Mutually feel and discuss, yet merely wandering Alone. Granted our own little time machines, we're given the ability to relive the same nights again, but is only the deepest of Nostalgia from a time we'll truly never get back.

Такие чувства вызывает лишь версия на консоли старого поколения - xbox360/playstation3.
Такое странное чувство, играть в них сейчас. Я играю в современную игру, которой через два месяца стукнет 10 лет.
В игре появляются подсказки о загрузке приложения ifruit, которое уже не работает. Сервера на старых консолях отключены, и осознание этого вызывает мурашки по коже. Когда-то здесь была жизнь, но теперь использовать эти функции не сможет никто. R.I.P gta:o ps3/xbox360.
