It blows my mind that there's already generation getting nostalgic about playing GTA V on their Xbox360/PS3 listening to the soundtrack.
It's been 6 years I remember buying this game and Batman Arkham origins for Christmas of 2013
Almost 6 years
I was 11 years old when GTA V came out. I played GTA 3, Vice City,San Andreas,Advance,Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories, GTA IV, GTA TBGT, GTA TLAD but at that time, i never played GTA V. In 2014, i begged my mom so she could buy that game for my 12th birthday. She bought me but by internet so i needed to wait. The day i received it, i was so happy, i was jumping everywhere in my house. My mom told me i could stay home since she was gonna go to Paris with my sister (im french and my family dentist is in Paris and when she go to Paris, i didnt had the house keys so i could stay). I played GTA V all day and i was so amazed with the graphics. I was a bit upset that most of the map was just empty and the characters wasnt like GTA 4 where they were so realistic. The missions werent that good but i still enjoyed the game just because the adrealine, i dont know if you understand. I stopped playing the story mode and i only finished in debut 2015 (i could literally finish the story mode in one day if didnt stopped).
The Online Mode at that time was starting to be trash but it wasnt that trashy. I always prefered to play with adults rather than kids of my age because i was a true GTA player, i played every one except the 1, London and the 2. Only adults got my experience of gaming. When i wanted to play an online mode, i would just start to switch to GTA IV.
Now, im almost 17 (24th September is my birthday). Life changed so much and i still miss those times where i could just play GTA V with that adrealine, that feel that i dont have anymore. Today, when i play GTA V, im just bored because the story mode isnt that good (its very easy for me seriously) and the online mode is cancer. I still play GTA IV and yesterday, i was still doing the story mode of GTA IV because its great and im a very nostalgic person. I miss those times seriously. Life was so easy in 2014.

It’s been 7 years since GTA 5 came out. I was 12 at that time living with my parents in my hometown Boston.
Since then I’ve graduated, got my first job, moved to Seattle, and have started going to college (despite hating the idea when I was 12). In a blink of an eye things changed so fast.
I’m 18 now and even though I don’t talk with my GTA friends now, the memories of joyriding around the airport and doing heists will always stay with me.

Game came out my 2nd year of college, I was 18. Started having panic attacks and when on my way to class I would play this and other songs from the sound track to help calm me down.
Now I’m 29, gotta take meds for my anxiety but this music still helps and the feeling of joy when the game dropped always give me bittersweet nostalgia.
Nostalgia of growing up with friends but also dealing with severe panic attacks. Overall this stuff helps more than it hurts.

I remember watching the trailers for GTA V. I thought to myself “damn, there’s still 4 years until it’s released”. Always dying of anxiety. I wondered what it would be like to play it, what was going to be in the game that wasn’t in GTA IV, such as working convertible tops and a gym. And now, over five years of playing the hell out of it, I know for sure that it was the best game I’ve ever played. I won’t ever forget the memories that both the storyline and GTA Online brought me. Certainly some of the best in my life.

It's honestly incredible to live at the same time of this game that will undoubtedly go down in entertainment history as an absolute legend for decades to come, and absolutely encapsulates what a developer would want as anticipation for a game. Even after a decade, not a single game has gotten the same hype GTA V has gotten. Cyberpunk 2077 undeniably came extremely close, but that immediately shattered once the state of its launch was revealed.
Needless to say, both Rockstar Games and CD Projekt Red managed to even reach this amount of hype by prior successes that also went down in video game history as absolute legends (Grand Theft Auto IV and The Witcher 3). It's debatable that such success will be repeated.
@@silvercloud6370 GTA 4 is worse than GTA 5 in literally every way other than story. it has nothing to do after completing the story and every component of the gameplay from the movement to the shooting is unresponsive as hell. you're totally delusional if you think GTA 5 is a downgraded version of 4. don't even bother replying if the first thing that comes to your mind after reading my comment is "but dA fISICS and dA tINy DETaIlS is bEttArrRRr."

I too find single player much more enjoyable. Online literally just feels like grind for the next car that way too overpriced.
@@agimibraimi96online is fun, especially the new Cluckin Bell update, but yes it's just a big grind. I ignore the money and it's much more fun, given i have already grinded all I want and have no need for ultra expensive things like a yacht or maze bank tower
@@arftrooper44 I made so many memories in online with my friends. While I agree that the single player is great, you can always go back and replay it. All the times that I played online with my friends and just had fun just hits different.
@@Barbatoslol those 2am sessions in online were the best. I remember where we were 4 people and we stayed at the same Pacific heist for 2 hours straight because one of us kept dying during the chase, it was so much fun. Here's to hoping we'll that make a lot of new, beautiful memories in GTA 6

Because it sucks lmao, too many plotholes and the story is overall boring and generic but the soundtrack is goated and the gunplay is fun
it's not the best story in the series but i loved it anyway
None of the characters have any real arc, Trevor and Michael are just either assholes or burnt out psychopaths with no real charm. Franklin is okay, but even then that's just in comparison to the other 2.
Trevor and Michael's beef with eachother is never really finished or squashed. It sorta just fizzles out and only gets a conclusion if you hang out with one of them.
Villains are boring and have no real presence. FRANKLIN HAS NO REASON TO KILL EITHER OF THEM in the endings and the only reason you'd pick A or B is to just see what happens. There's no weight or story connections as to why he'd personally want to do it
