    Wow. I conducted for the first time two days ago - it was a piece I'd written a few months and the first time I'd worked closely with the musicians I'd written for, and a lot of what Sir Davies is saying is exactly what I've been thinking lately!

    The RPO will be playing a fantastic concert devoted to Sir Peter Maxwell Davies at Cadogan Hall on 12th March, with the composer himself introducing each of his pieces. Not to be missed!

    Martin Handley, why start with that introduction? Wouldn't it be hard to open up after that slight... Didn't his body tell you something about him.
