A year or so later, do you still recommend picking up this controller or old Dao controller is still your go-to/default?

I played with my old Dao as long as I could because it had been modded with similar specs to the popoller.
Definitely still recommend the popoller buying new. If a used Dao happens to be selling around you (most aren't willing to ship one) it's not a bad one to start out on.
