    this bike goes faster than 20 MPH so before anyone else comments about the fact that I was only going around 20mph on my bike should read this first not last hopefully this helps clear up any confusion regarding top speed.

Nice looking bike and motor combo, but I'd have to do something about that muffler being where it is located, for sure. :-)

Using the carb off of a Kawasaki kx85, a flat top piston .020 longer rod, paired with a gx160 head that's been worked to unshroud the valves to make power in the high rpms. By allowing the high compression closed chamber head to flow)breath at high rpms like a open chamber head does. Yet also providing the benefits of the high compression low rpm torque monster effect. I already have a wide pedal crank but it would not fit right so I put the normal one back on. and also I got at least three or four inches of space before this thing can sink its teeth in my leg or actually my ankle since its in-between the two front drive pulleys. and the side cover sticks out so far it blocks my foot from reaching the pedal.

    What is your top speed running the torque converter right to a rear sprocket? I'm getting ready to put the same setup on a tandem bike that will run the torque to the rear pedal sprocket which will then run through the 21 speeds the bike has, but will need a heavy duty derailuer. Was just wonder what top speed was going directly to the rear wheel?

    • @jefff163
      @jefff163  Před 7 lety

      I have only got it up to 48mph but it keeps throwing the chain off cause the torque converter belt pulls the rear pulley towards the front pulley causing the front drive sprocket to tilt letting the chain to slip off but I think it could do about 55 to 60mph.

    • @Revdonlee74
      @Revdonlee74 Před 7 lety +1

    Get yourself a 3D Motorsport manual clutch. They are new and the only manual clutch for these engines on the market. Cheaper and better than a CVT transmission, too. You can also pedal start like the 80cc bikes with these clutches and get rid of the pull start. You can thank me later.

    • @jefff163
      @jefff163  Před 7 lety

      Eclipse Gaming there is a big disadvantage if you're using a centifugal clutch since the torque converter has the most power in terms of taking off and acceleration and it's much smoother than a centrifugal clutch but it cuts down top end speed by about 75 percent from what I noticed so I stuck with the torque converter.

      I'm using a 44t sprocket and it is great for street use but as for hills I don't know cause I use this as a bar hopper bike. I would recommend a 48t or higher for hills since the 44t lugs a bit when taking off from a stop sign and I also broke two torque converter plates trying to do throttle wheelies.

      The top speed so far is 48 MPH but my speedometer was not working right so it could have been a lot faster than that . and I think it might weigh around 50 to 75 pounds.

    What's up man? I used to have a 66cc 2 stroke bicycle. Anyway I was thinking about starting a build with this motor. How fast did you get that bike to go and how much did you invest into it? Thanks for uploading

      I invested about 880 in everything but the frame and so far I have only got it up to 48.4mph its worth building but I always have to worry about the torque converter snapping in half if I give it to much throttle.

      my advise is the 49cc kit with the grubee belt drive kit even though I have a chain drive model the belt drive is better for acceleration if adjusted right.

    How did you get the sprocket on the back side

    • @jefff163
      @jefff163  Před 6 lety +2

      Charles Crom the sprocket came with this engine kit from gasbike.net so the sprocket was already installed but the transmission plate snapped in half so I ended up getting a new one from eBay so I would not recommend this type of tourqe converter if you check out my other videos you'll find a video of a Nel lusso with this engine shoved into it and a different tourqe converter That I modified.

    • @charlescrom4238

    You need to cover that front pulley. It's dangerously close to your left pant leg. If it grabs the denim of your pants it will rip your leg off before it's done.

    • @jefff163
      @jefff163  Před 7 lety

      I don't wear denim so that that wont work and I have had my pant leg caught in there before and my leg wont just rip off cause this isn't a movie. and to tell you truth them cover are retarded looking and I wont be able to reach the pedals cause it sticks out to far. but thanks for your concern anyway.

    • @Scootertuner1000
      @Scootertuner1000 Před 7 lety

      You don't were jeans? That's unusual. It won't literally rip your leg off, but it could injure you. You can make your own cover that is more streamlined.
