Very helpful, Andrew! Thanks
Enjoyed your video part 1 on Hake brushes. I was about to purchase a Ron Ranson, your conclusions in part 2 will be interesting. I have a couple of the goat hair ones but they are too soft to achieve your style of painting.
So far have been using a stiff haired bristle paint brush (actually I think it's one used for glazing tarts when baking !) and it works... to an extent.
Thanks for your demos, always useful and interesting.
The Ron Ransons are goat hair, I believe, which likely explains the texture. Thanks for the comparison.
I have a Creative Mark Hake, I haven’t used it yet, I’m in the process of getting my painting are set up and will be using it in the near future.....now I’m wondering if it is worth it....I planned on getting some gum Arabic.....if it doesn’t work well I will try your hand tip, thanks Andrew 🙂
Thank you Andrew , I was wondering which brush you were using when you painted the landscape with trees and sky on 4/26
