Automated punch needle. We did these in art class in a rural school in 1977. Thank you for the reminder of the memories. One of the key points is not to lose contact with the fabric; the tool has to remain on the fabric the entire time or the stitch pulls out. I can relate to your desire to try new art mediums. Today I have greeting card projects in the kitchen; a crochet baby afghan in the living room to work on while watching TV; adult coloring books and Prismacolors in the bedroom; and artificial flowers leftover from making memorial day flowers. Plus, I'm also saving up bright jewel-tone glass to make a hummingbird birdbath. We can relate!

I was so confused when i first started watching this video cause i had never heard of tufting before but the process looked familar, then I realized ths is just like needle punching except on a much larger scale. btw love your videos and are so happy to see you branching to other crafts!!

I started watching your channel when I started working with resin and since then I have also branched out into other forms of art so it is very amazing and relatable to watch you grow as well into other forms of art, I was always watching your videos here and there but became less involved when it was always resin, since I stopped working with it, we are meant to evolve and grow. It’s very draining and boring doing the same thing over again especially when it starts to become a chore instead of being excited to do whatever it is every day. So to that, cheers to 2022 💕

As an artist & maker for 30+ years, I totally understand the desire to not pigeonhole yourself into only one art form. The beauty of making many types of art is that it stays exciting and keeps the creativity flowing. The convenience of making many types of art is that so many of the supplies overlap, and that makes it handy/less expensive when the inspiration to begin something totally new hits. Best wishes on your new tufting journey, and thanks for allowing us to join you on it! ✌🏼💜🛼

As someone who lives in the "carpet capital of the world", when I saw your thumbnail, I thought "what is she doing with a mending gun", LOL When making carpet, it goes over a roller and an inspector is checking the back for missing rows of stitches and if they see anything missing, they use the mending gun to repair the problem area. It is hilarious that they are now selling them for crafters
