Miriam, I love how you keep John in line. It's perfect. Miriam, I love your scarf. That is an excellent motto. I love it. Don't you guys normally do a ride on New Year's Day? I can't remember? Our first is always our meal that we make of pork and sauerkraut. Is Jon singing the song? Her name is Lola. She was a show girl. Lol. John I always love your expressions. They'll look back was great. Of course you know our favorite part was HetteshWorld lol. And just because we survived the storms and tornadoes in Florida doesn't mean I bring the storms. Remember that. We had a lot of fun meeting you both again and hanging with you and we will be doing it again and in the future. John, you're so excited you're making Miriam pop off. I love the outtakes.
Thanks, Barb. We always do a Christmas ride. This year we did it a few days early bc our family was descending upon us a few days before Christmas. The weather wasn’t great on New Years Day…too cold. Or maybe we are getting soft! We are happy to be back in our “normal” routine now. Hope you two had a nice holiday and your return trip to FL was “uneventful”…. the best kind. Hoping your curse of bad weather following you has ended!

Awesome video and reflection. Looking back makes you appreciate where you are now and how you made it here and what you have learned. Knowing that, and all you experienced in the past year, makes you hopeful for the New Year (even if the world is in turmoil). I keep a log book of all my rydes on my Spyder because they always bring me joy and 2023 overflowed! Top moments were riding and travelling with Lisa, meeting up and ryding with Purple On Three and TommyG and meeting up and riding with you two. As my Spyder is in winter storage, now is the time to start planning 2024 and fill the agenda up with more wonderful journeys and discoveries. Carpe diem et veho! Cheers!

It sounds like you both had my favorite meal to start off the new year. 2024 may be a challenge for our family. My brother two days before Christmas had heart stents put in and the dr. said he has a weak heart Ron is 88 years old 22 years older than me but has always been very active, tennis, golf walking, no smoking and eats healthy. He is going to need a valve replacement so that may be very tricky. I was in hopes to take more travel time on the bike this spring summer and fall but that may need to wait to see what happens with my brother. I like looking back to see the past year in review and looking at the future is rather hard to comprehend The hope is healthy and safe travels and to stay positive in whatever life has in store for everyone. Happy New Year to both of you and thank you for the wonderful videos this past year.

Our 2024 goals are more time to enjoy, more time relax and hopefully more time with friends. Our planning is already on the way, so big thanks for the 24 itinerary! Looking forward to spending a good deal of time on the road and in front of the campfire!

Hmmm, my approach for addressing 2024, it's going to be the most unusual year I've ever had. I have to figure out what I'm going to do during 11 months of "vacation", now that I'm in my final month of employment 🤔😁 And a little over a week ago, I added an adventure touring bike to my garage. So I guess on a couple of trips this year, I'll get to play eeny-meeny-miny-moe to pick which bike to take... yep...I'm crazy, but I've earned it 🙄😳🤪😅👍
Good for you, Wayne! Congratulations on your retirement and your new bike! Retirement is hard “work”, especially the first year as you are finding your rhythm. The Spyder is a great help though. So fun to be able to go on a ride or launch a trip in the middle of the work week!
Rain rhymes with Maine! My poor sister had major flooding at her business in Winslow when the kennebec River flooded in December... Didn't you guys stay in waterville?
Yes, Waterville was the site of the “meltdown”. Sigh*. So sorry your sister had to work through that flooding headache.
@@miriambryant1896 yes, it's been rough. Their employees had to go on unemployment after 2 weeks of compensation from my sister's company. I believe employees are coming back on the 22nd. So that means they have lost over a month of production by the time it's all said and done. More like 6 weeks. Thankful they have insurance. I remember That meltdown now 🥺🙏
