- The Colorado Rockies are stuck in a bad spot. In a division they've never won in their 30 year history and it's not getting any easier. The Dodgers have Shohei and others with an endless payroll, the Diamondbacks just won the NL and have a young team only getting better, and the Padres have major star power themselves.
So it's time to try something completely new to try and overcome these odds: A Draft Only Rebuild.
A staple of the channel, the Draft Only Rebuild challenges us to build the team up using only the Rookie and Rule 5 drafts after we tear down the ENTIRE 40 man roster after the first season.
One major twist added for this year: Trades. I am allowing 3 trades in this series, but only for prospects, and only for one prospect per trade. So we will need to time them right and make sure they hit to ensure we don't waste them.

The pitching has not been great. But the braves offense is pretty insane as well

I’ve talked about it in previous episodes. Something weird with Dorsey’s home run celebration, but it’s kinda funny.

I’ve been doing the same thing. Back surgery at the end of April and discovered this channel. Been watching a ton of it. Inspired me to do my own Rockies rebuild. Not doing draft only and limited trades but it’s been fun! The recruiting for the draft tip video has paid off huge for me!
@@geeloorgaming8046 dang back surgery is rough, glad it went ok and that the scouting has helped!
@@fiendfranchise Luckily it was a “minor” one as far as back surgeries go, removing some bone material. When you go through the season, how much of the games do you watch versus just sim through? I’m sure what we see as your audience only sees a fraction of what goes into these videos. I’ve attempted to edit videos and it takes so long, at least 3 times the video length for me to edit a video.

Do you do multiple series at once? Like once college football comes out are you going to continue this series or is that when this will come to an end?
Yes I don’t mind having two series running at once. That said, if we win the World Series this year I don’t know how much longer this series will go. But it will be going a few more years at a minimum.
Hey, this is a random question but how do you watch your team play in franchise mode? I’ve been wanting to see my team play but don’t want to actually control anything.
I will usually watch 1 or 2 full games a month or do critical situations. Then I watch all playoff games.
Enter the particular game as usual, but when you get to the team select screen, move your cursor to the middle vertical line between the two teams. Then proceed to the game, and you'll get to see CPU vs. CPU action.

Hey friend here's a two part question for you what draft picks talent actually shocked you as in they're doing better than you originally hoped that they would and what player overall has been your favorite so far in the series that you drafted
I think the biggest positive surprise for me so far would have to be Kyle Brown, of the guys I've drafted. Overall probably Zac Veen. I wasn't sure he'd be sticking around but he's been great lately. My favorite draft pick might be Clemente Herrera, discovering him has been an awesome find.

@@fiendfranchise veen definitely had his struggles early on but bounced back and is one good player I can't wait to see what Nolan turns into once fully developed since he was MVP his rookie year
@@FarajiCouncil Dorsey gonna have an an amazing career I'd bet. Veen making things difficult for Rico Salazar to find a spot for sure.
