I respect Chow Tow when he tasted his dish he immediatly accepts defeat like thats what a real man would do.

chow to is a real chad, doesnt get mad, accepts defeat, cooks good. if he had wong ping yee as a teacher he would probably outclass anyone
Chow To accepting defeat in the end really does say something about him, man's a respectful chef
Yea in most of the chef is competing arrogant but In he accepted his defeat
No wonder Ping Yee seemed so familiar, he's the master from IP Man, he's always been a really skilled martial artist. That was such a unique and entertaining film lol

Hi gois

💀
The enemy chef in the competition is surprisingly chill and actually a great cook. For some reason, I like that a lot
Fun fact: the disciple who poisoned Ping Yee's dish in the early part of the movie is actually Sammo Hung's (Ping Yee's actor) son.
Timmy Hung, right? I think that's his name. I like him, he was in another movie Sammo and Donnie Yen, SPL, playing a thug who got beat bad until he was mentally handicapped.
No wonder they kinda look alike. I even lost track on who´s who when they fought.

Sammo Hung: So, this is the script for your next movie.

It's enthralling how when that opponent just tasted Kin Yat's dish he simply accepts defeat instead of complaining, one of the best recap movies ever.

As a big fan of Jackie Chan movies, seeing Sammo Hung gives me extreme joy on the big screen. The man is an accomplished actor, martial artist, and acrobatic while staying humble. Not to mention he could do all of that with size, amazing
Sammo hung was one of the best HK actors of the past. He deserves more recognition.
Amen
Thank you. I grew up seeing his face, but I've never known his name.
Not only that he was in Ip Man 2.
He was hero in my childhood along with Jackie Chan .. I always watch his movie in tv whenever they broadcast ... He is the one of the reasons why I love chubby guys around me and I have one best friend who is chubby 😂

So I’m not the only one who finds the idea of cooking anything alive horrifying right?

Rarely is there a recap that inspires me to actually watch the full film. This is one
8:20 I remember watching this movie with bad subs and at this pointish when the cops are coming I'm sure they yell something to the effect of "Hey! Stop right there!" but the subtitles read "What's up? Stop right there!" and it gave me a good chuckle.
The actor playing the chef is known (or was known during my youth) as an extremely good martial artist that plays in movies, much like Jackie Chan, in Asian countries. In one movie, he also played the role of Jackie Chan's big brother (although the big brother was acting like a child, so the younger brother, Jackie, was the one who was caring for him).
Summon Hung trained with Jackie Chan when they are kids in Chinese Opera. He is like Jackie Chan's older brother.
Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan, Jet Li. The Avengers of the Kungfu Movie back then
@@bluesapphire4262 Actually, I was thinking about Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao, who often appeared together in movies back then, although Yuen Biao was stuck as Jackie's shadow and never became nearly as famous in Western culture.
The first movie that comes to mind with these 3 is Dragons Forever. They're like DC's Trinity.
This recap was amazing really like the combination of traditional cooking and martial arts.
I like how they show that he's a chef and good at martial arts (forgot the names)...usually in movies its often decided that the MC is the best fighter even without any training...but here they give a proper explanation...
I watched this same video a few months ago and can’t wait to see the whole thing
In the sequel, Kin Yat has to impress Gordon Ramsey in hells kitchen
The chefs morals and kindness is on a different level even when his nephew kicks him out of the village and tries to kill him, the chef still didn't kill him because he considered him family.

I LOL'd at the description but having seen this movie I knew how it happened. I did try and rationalize how it could be true on a technicality. Like, the fish was already dead to begin with so he wasn't actually 'killing' it.

Perfect story. This is what I really miss in Bollywood which has become a bunch if trash now a days. Well concepts and stories of Film industry from Southern part of india are the best now.
I'm glad the actor that played Peng Yi didn't die in this movie, on another movie, he was famous as being the skillful martial arts that doesn't make it to the end.
