      @@velvet_moon. Easily, I mean, as with everything, there are legal and illegal ways of course. Legally you have to go through a lot of paperwork but you also get a much better look at what you are buying, grades being one of the factors as well as IQ and stuff like that. Smarter kids cost more, and their intelligence and possible academic potential are reflected in their grades, without the grades you cannot measure their worth correctly and kids with bad grades are cheaper, this is another pragmatic factor that shows how grades do actually define a child´s worth. Buying a kid illegally is a different story, it might be faster but you are not guaranteed anything.

      Some people are slso actually triggered into it as well. Kind of where it may lie dormant...or that the symptoms were so minor and didnt impact your daily life....until it did. You cant diagnose a toddler nor a young child with it either. There was a point where it became a "fad" for their kids to be diagnosed and put on pills...hslf the kids i knew were on them and were not adhd either...others who needed therapy for it and got none. My brother got diagnosed, but because i was a girl i got diagnosed with bipolar and dramatics. Until people realized girls present differently. Now i have two diagnoses...and half the time i wonder of thats even accurate. Every Doctor 'sees' something new...adds their own. So many symptoms on the spectrum of mental illnesses and disorders overlap each other that anyone with a DSMH5 will see the futility of diagnosis of the mind. You could literally be one of five at any given time. Some textbook manic events could be impulse control issues seen in young people or, adhd presenting. Depending on how deep you get into the kids head before ruushing to write a scrpit. Insurance companies dont want to pay for unneeded services...so they make a need to get paid. There is no money in a cure or in health. Only in treatment. Continuous treatment....look at the opioid epidemic... put you on drugs to get off drugs...and you go to long term treatments, therapy, groups. Give you something to replace the drugs because it is a 'life long' illness. recidivism is high in that industry. And the professionals advocate maintenance for life...when there is a life beyond.

    As an Asian person (Indian descent), living in Australia, I have observed many within my community (and other Asian communities) go through similar pressures of living up to their parent's unrealistic expectations. One thing I've observed is that the light is always curbed from their eyes, and they seem to be soulless, a robot. Makes me glad to have two loving and supporting parents, who don't care that my grades are "average," for the Asian standard, and don't compare me to my extremely talented and motivated younger sister. They just want me to be independent, economically stable and happy. One thing I've noted though is that attitudes are changing; ten years ago, everyone would be asking what marks the other person got, but now a days it's a lot more private and you can see a lot more Indian parents embracing the thoughts of their children delving from the "stereotypically ideal" professions. There is still a lot of room for improvement, but nonetheless there's progress.

    • @PrashantPrabhakar
      @PrashantPrabhakar Před rokem

      Maybe there is progress in Australia , But in india its the same. The poorer a province is the more rigidly they stick to the "Asian" stereotype. And it is logical because failing isnt an option here and attention + Education needed to raise a kid is something which parents are never taught. I m speaking from experience (Bihar, India).

In society right now, especially Asian countries, many parents are simply using their kids to gain higher recognition in society based on how well they do in school. This problem still exists and almost no one calls them out for it, which is why the movie ended so tragically. It's highlighting the fact that kids living in strict academic conditions like that weren't able to win in the past, and still can't even in the present.

My theory is when a child is born they have stat points like carpentry 2 points swimming 9 points hunting 13 points or something like that and they have a certain amount of points they can spend, but if they’re lucky the points are spent on the subject school teaches and memorization. And school is hating on kids without those points on the subjects. Also I got another theory school required so much classes to give you a degree to work because they know that students are commonly bad at subjects children are born to survive in the wild not memorize useless facts! So since some students have points on all subjects school can be like “see it’s not rigged” but while a vast majority of students who are bad at those subjects have to seriously forcefully learn those subjects so they get depressed and work for the government like a employee it is so evil they farm off of animals and now their own kind. Fun fact: On an IQ test, 100 is explicitly the group's average. If all students are required to have at least 180 IQ, then the test will be redefined with that in mind. (Which means that it would be redefined so that old-180 is _lower_ than new-100.)

    This show makes me think how unlucky to be Asian and the life I live in. We Asians are slaves, slaves to our parents’ will, our governments and societies, and to our cultures. Forcing us to go to after-school learning centers, some of us 7 days of learning, do well in school and get good jobs. Every parents wants their children to be successful but if you think about it, they’re using them/us to achieve some things they could never achieve themselves. We are their ‘social security’, ‘investment,’ ‘retirement plan’, and of course, their legacy.
    But in my thoughts, we are also their tools.
    Imagine an Asian kid graduate college and become a powerful politician but it is the parent(s) have influence over them;
    You know, what that cost these children? Their lives by suicide (like in that one episode with the machine that see memories of dead people), others their sanity (like in the Blue Moon episode). Take it from me, I’m one of those semi-insane type.

    Well you certainly have too much pressure on many asian kids to score high in certain countries and they have to be perfect and study all day or they will not get into one of the best universities and get a job. I'm glad in my country we believe far more in natural inclination, you can't study your brain into a change like that. We separate the students after age 12 and the ones less inclined to thrive on theory get less of it and end up prepared for different schools for profession training than the ones headed for university. Most kids end up in the lower group so it would be illogical to look down on them for it.

      Teaching kids with other kids at their own level helps them not get a complex about not being able to do certain things and graduating at their level means they do not drop out without a diploma. And it's really better for the more academic kids too to get things at their speed and not be slowed down.
      I think it's just more realistic to educate kids this way and the class culture is quite different on the levels too. Though you can change levels depending on your need, I did the two highest levels before going to Uni. You are not judged on your grades really, just passing the exams at the highest level is enough to get you into Uni.

It’s just based on things your brain already knows. IQ is based on how your brain works. Different tests can have different results because the questions are different but if you try hard equally on all tests then your results should be about the same on all of them. Online IQ tests aren’t reliable so you need to take a real IQ test.

      Some children with ADHD act rude or aggressive, because children with ADHD can have difficulty in impulse control. Also, if they haven't been diagnosed for so long they could be mad or feel misunderstood, and end up acting out in some way. Either way, aggressive behavior or rudeness is NOT part of ADHD diagnosis, just sort of a side effect that happens in some kids. It usually gets better as they grow up and learn to socialize, although it may take them longer than others. The girl was just acting, though, so she doesn't represent anyone with ADHD...?
