The inspiration behind this video:
House of the Dragon season 2 could see one character take on a similar role to that of Lady Stoneheart from George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire books. Lady Stoneheart is the resurrected form of Catelyn Stark, found after the Red Wedding and brought back to life by the Brotherhood Without Banners. "Life" is best used loosely, as this version of Catelyn cannot speak, is visibly scarred, and only craves one thing: revenge. Catelyn ought to have appeared in Game of Thrones season 4, based on how it adapted the books, but the show opted against her inclusion.
Lady Stoneheart will likely have a bigger role when The Winds of Winter eventually releases, but there could be a replacement of some form found in House of the Dragon season 2. Plenty of the show's characters have certain similarities to those in Game of Thrones, without being direct copies - Alicent Hightower has shades of Cersei Lannister, Larys Strong is a Littlefinger type character, and so on. So it is that, building on from House of the Dragon season 1's ending, there's potential for a version of Catelyn/Stoneheart as well.

!!Ok so sad thing about this is that Game of Thrones history and lore 5 episode literally tells what and how this whole dance of the dragons will end. Now personally im disappointed because i have spoled whole thing to myself. That's why i wont try to find any reveals of season 2 because why... Ofc they might change it, but i don't think so. Don't do the same mistake like i did.. !!!

@@orangefox1231he suggested naming Rhaenyra as heir though. He also sent his daughter in to seduce the king-he could have just as easily waited for a male heir from Leana (I don’t know if in working any of these names right), but he wanted his own blood on the throne
I love how Aegon gets chastised about something he didn't ask for. He was ready to leave Westeros to avoid this and it is why I have a lot of sympathy for him. I just can't with the Green faction and I often ask myself is this one humongous joke. Who is this disconnected? Rhaenyra's usurped and son is brutally killed, yet, Otto questions Rhaenyra's actions as if she would actually let this slide, like Daemon would let this slide. I'm sorry, but they annoy the hell out of me.

this comment is exactly why the show isn’t living up to its book counterpart. there are no good guys or bad guys in the book. they’re all assholes. yet in the show, rhaenyra is perfect and blameless and the greens are comically evil

The show is about restraint. Be who don't jump at war vs people who all they want to do is fight which brings chaos. basically don't smite your enemy grow as a person keep to yourself and don't let others bother you. U smite ur enemy u def going to have a target on your back.

@@kyleolson9636 it’s going to be the last episode of season 2. If you rewatch this trailer you’ll see Caraxes roaring in a storm. That’s the fight. Also, there’s another storm scene in this trailer with a dragon flying high- that’s in Harrenhal and the scene after that is Aemond staring out during the storm

@laceymcgrath3945 I think they will! With the changes they did from the book vs the show in season 1, I'm sure a lot is changed because it would be cool to keep the audience in suspense. Plus I heard the show is displaying the "actual" events that happened vs the book where it's mostly speculation of what happened with a lot of characters and situations. Either way, very excited for the season!

@@madiha_tanveer273Well I could tell you some if you doubt mind spoilers but as far as the Targaryen house goes it remained pretty strong after the events of HOTD but it definitely weakened them a lot plus it killed off most of the dragons! It was the mad king who put the final nail in the coffin his paranoia but most importantly killing burning lord Richard Stark combined with the prince choosing Ned’s sister at the tourney causing the Starks & Baratheon’s to rebel against the throne!
In the book. The north comes when it is basically over and mentors the black queens son. Hope they show this encountor.

As one who read the book, all I can say for the show only folks is brace yourselves. The opening few episodes of this new season are going to be very dark and shocking to you all. It's all escalation from there. Can't wait to see how they will do the battles to come!

Rhaenys crashing the coronation, Alicent showing Larys her feet, Cole beating Joffrey to death with zero reprocussions in broad daylight at a wedding, Rhaenyra flying on Syrax to intervene with Otto and Daemon despite having just had a extremely bad pregnancy mere hours, etc.
@@liamdenise246 Rhaenys and Criston are pretty bad, I agree. However the Alicent one once again potrays greatly how she suffers under the influence of men in her life and this "exchange" of information for basically violation probably started years ago, when she was still a teenager or young woman.
Also while it could be farfetched with Rhaenyra being able to mount a dragon this fast after a bloody miscarriage, womens bodies are very durable and work in wonderous ways sometimes. Plus the bond of a rider and a dragon is said to have a healing effect for the rider and makes him/her strong.
