If you look up "List of games Censored by Sony," there are a lot of games there ever since Sony moved their HQ and had policy changes

I think some of it is due to regional compliance laws. Not all of it for sure, but in the United States there are a lot of very prudish people.

Yes, sure in countries like germany and australia they did censor lots of games based on some stupid laws, but the PEGI version was always uncut.
Yeah I am from Germany and we had litterly Decades of censorship in video game mostly for gore, but also other stuff. Now we are finally at a point where the USK (who does the rating for video games) basically let everything release without any censorship, especially gore. But now publishers, developers, etc. suddenly start censoring the games. It's like people want to go back to times, where you don't even have the possibility as an adult to choose what you want to play.

It's not about censorship, it's about false advertisement. Look at Escape from Tarkov, imagine you have years invested into an mmo (eg FF14). They then sold you a $150 package (which Tarkov players bought), then told you to pay an extra $100 to get all the modes and items they said was in the $150 package. I hate censorship in any medium. Always have. Especially when they stated earlier in promotion for the game that it wouldn't be censored. I personally don't have the game or the plastic box it's on. if it ever hits PC and it's a good game that may change.

Censorship in M rated games never made sense to me. It’s marketed for adults and thus I expect adult content in said game whether it is gore or nude content, etc.

The only reason I can think of that would acceptable is if it is to comply with regional laws. But if it is to try and appeal to a group of people who are not the customer, well that is stupid. Glad Alex is putting the foot down on this one.

Sony have had their games censored on their console ever since they moved their HQ, DOA xtreme was censored in the re-release scarlet but not on the Switch or the Original release on the same console on ps4 , Martha is dead is censored on PlayStation but not on other consoles and there are others too

Did this until the ps4, and love all the Japanese exclusive games on it, until 2017 when I got a mid range pc and Switch and then noticed all the censorship on the ps4, and then I fully switched to the Switch and Pc and now I mainly play on pc now
The Ps5 is the only Playstation I have no interest in buying, and I have bought every Playstation device like the handhelds and Cammeras (ps2/ps3/ps4), move and Vr
My favorite console of all time is the Ps2 and Dreamcast

PSA Alyssa mercante was the first person to make comparisons between baldur's gate and stellar blade saying that beastiality in baldurs gate is good sexuality but stellar blade having a conventionally attractive woman as the main character of a game with no nudity and no sex scenes is bad sexuality. Her issue not being the lack of nudity and sex just that eve didnt at least have mans face put on her body or was lesbian or had sex with animals if eve would do any of that stellar blade would be good by alyssa' standards.
Just imagine when the modders get hold of the code and bring a uncensored version patch on PC. Oh those ponies will all hope on their gaming laptops quick smart. lol

It confuses me that in a game, you can have sex with a bear and multiple other characters with full nudity - and that is fine. (As it should be - we are adults). But then there is another game where you can not have any sex at all, but the character is hot and you can dress her up - but that is not fine.
I hate when people think were fools and we could be taken advantage of so here’s what i did and if people can I recommend copying this, I refunded my copy of the game, digital deluxe edition, Got my money back I then turn around to my PlayStation rewards credit card redeemed all of my Sony Rewards for PlayStation gift cards and then re-bought Stellar Blade! In my own case Sony paid for their own censorship and then they paid shift up for me. Fuck Sony!!!! do the same if you’re able.

The ESRB has greatly changed the recommendations between M Rated and Adult Only.
The physical release is the only version not censored.

Sucks about the censorship of the few outfits in the game. I still feel it changes too little to not support the game if you were going to because most importantly the game is actually really good, relatively bug free, runs well, good music good visuals no mtx and despite the few outfits being censored the game as a package is something we want to see more of in the industry as far as chatacter design.
This game being a smashing success has more positives than negatives
