Had the same problem but with my 2017 Ram Cummins after about ten pushes on the start button she fired right up. Not the starter obviously. Next day same symptoms, click. Started after six tries. Off to the dealer. Diagnosed U connect issue. Soft reset by pushing both radio control buttons for ten seconds till screen goes black and boom starts right up. So try that if you get dreaded click.
My 2017 Ram 4500 tow truck started doing this, when u turn the key all lights come on and u just hear a click and nothing happens, gave the passenger side battery a jump and it turned right on but when i turned it off in hopes it would turn back on, it was a fail. Mechanic changed the starter and it was working fine.
I have a 2011 1500 and I am having the same issue. I made sure the battery and fuses were good. Just got a starter - putting it in today. Fingers crossed!
Same thing I'm going through, the only difference was the battery was completely dead. Used my neighbors little jumper rig. The motor turned over but wouldn't start. It just rained and we had a load of snow 2 weeks ago, so there's a lot of moisture in the air. I'm wondering if any of the moisture fouled the fuel. You say starter, but when I jumped it, it then cranked, but it didn't start (as I said earlier).
I have a 2011 ram 5.7 hemi Big Horn No Crank No start sometimes . After about 10 tries sometimes it starts . I changed the starter twice and same issue. Fuses are good. Although it starts sometimes I want this problem fixed I don’t want to be stuck on road.
Check your battery terminals. Make sure they are clean and tight. Make sure your battery is good. Check the ground wire to make sure they are clean and connected.
@@luisc9684 ended up getting a warranty fix and the found it was the starter fried itself some how. They aren’t sure what happened. Only had 75000 miles
Hello thank you I am having that problem know right as I write this. Was park at a truck garage working in the back seat for about 1 1/2 hour radio was on. Went to start her up nothing. I cuss and cures the fuck out of Dodge Ram.$400. Plus for towing waiting to see how much more coast. Oh this happened on Friday at 15:00 fuck my weekend up.
THATS WHAT HAPPENED TO A CUSTOMER OF MINE WAS ON HIGHWAY SHUT OFF ON HIGHWAY . TRIED TO START IT IT WOULDN T REASON NEEDED OIL CHANGE , NEW TRUCKS SUCK THE BAG
Dodge?? This is a ram. Ram seperated when fiat bought out Chrysler/dodge. Ram is their own. Open the hood, check the connections on the left side firewall pcm.

Also could be the ignition cylinder if you have it.
Could also be your fob key battery.
Do a soft reset on the U connect system. That solved my problem.
