- Forestal’s Siryon is a lightweight eMTB from the vertically integrated brand nestled in the mountains of Andorra. Born from a serious passion for mountain bikes, Forestal wanted to develop the perfect lightweight e bike from the ground up and we think they have created something truly special. From the integrated touch screen in the top tube to the proprietary suspension design and lightweight and powerful motor, this bike is pushing the limits of e-bikes and is offering us a peek into what the future holds. Featuring an EonDrive motor with 250w of power, 60nm of torque, and a 360Wh battery, the Siryon offers a playful experience on the trail that is more similar to a burly enduro bike than an electric motorcycle. Forestal offers this bike in several different configurations with familiar, high quality components from brands like RockShox, SRAM, Ohlins, Maxxis, Magura, Formula, Crankbrothers, and others. Hit the link below to check out all the details on this incredible machine.

What are your thoughts on this futuristic machine?
It's cvol they're developing it all in house. Prices seem on par with other emtb's. Never heard of them until this vid. If I lived out west I'd look at emtb's, this brand for sure, but I don't have a need for them on my local trails in SWVA/NETN.
Looks epic! Agree with Jeff, really cool when a brand like this pops up and makes a bike that nice.
It looks like it will be hard to make riding gear to match their paint jobs bbbaaahhhhaaaa
How long before you go full Christopher Walken ?
my thoughts: P-R-I-C-E. ???
I saw these bike models in person 2 and a half months ago, and I can say that I have never seen so much quality together!
This is the perfect bike for my newpaper delivery route.
I've spent a good amount of time on the Siryon in the WC PA shop, and it's a pretty amazing bike. Lightweight and fun to ride. Eco mode got me riding for 2 hours!
That's it? ...but I want toride all day
What is the name of the shop? Please?
@@brianmorris2847 Worldwide Cyclery, Pennsylvania location.
Two hours on eco is not good. Unless you got it with 1/2 battery life.
I have the Bosch CX gen 4 with 750 watts and on eco I can literally go all day. Minimum 5 hours, I’m not going over that so I haven’t tested it. And will not be doing over 5 hours in one sitting 😝
I think I can easily do 2 hours on turbo at 85nm 😎
exceptional review that nails the true modus operandi of this brand, ground up e-bike brand with the capital behind it to change the way people view ebikes. plus vertical integration gives you speed of technical updates and changes plus amazing quality standards
It's so nice when intelligent people watch and comment. Haha thanks Peter. Breath of fresh air.
That bike looks super nice! I love rare brands like that and damn, the specs are impressive with weight/power.
Agreed :)
Always good to see more light-emtbs. Can you guys do like a long term reliability review of the Bafang motor? Lots of people are turned off by ebikes because of unreliable motors, so it would be nice to hear how many issues you guys have with it. Keep up the good work!
Motor reliability is a concern with e-bikes. My EP8 motor failed after 500 miles but is being replaced under warranty. The Shimano distributor normally has these in stock so you can get a replacement in a reasonable timeframe. What’s the plan for Forrestal, how quickly can they get a replacement motor as failures will occur….
Valid point. This is party why Forestal wanted to design their own motor and not pull an off-the-shelf motor. They also have a rock solid warranty program to stand behind their motor. We have been testing two bikes extensively for 8 months with zero issues. But we need more time than that so we'll get back to you on this one :)
I don’t know if I absolutely love or hate the cutout in top tube for the rear shock.
I want one!
It is definitely a good looking bike.
Let's say I was to come in to the Southern California spot to demo one of these. Would you be able to point me in the direction of some trails to ride? I'm in the SD area. This looks super interesting though and I would love to take it for a spin. I think that's worth a 2ish hour drive!
We can absolutely do that! We have a good amount of trails close by to the shop. Feel free to give us a call or shoot us an email and we can get you set up!
Will you review the forestal hydra?
Great review Jeff! My eBike is portly compared to this guy as mine is pushing 54lbs....This thing under 40? Wow....I'm sporting a 1100 Wh Batt 160Nm Torque.....How far did you guys ride on these? Thanks again! $15,7000 seems a little stiff though...
Is it normal for the motor on this bike to make a clicking noise when it first engages? Just got one second hand and it sounds like a baseball card in bike spokes for a 1/2 second when the motor starts working. Thanks!
Bike is epic. But... Doesn't seem like you wear a shirt under your hoodie. Must be soft in there.
The pink one ? You like ?
If I ever get an E-Bike that costs more than my car, it's a Forestal.
😂🍻
I have a specialized turbo levo sl and I am very interested in following this bike.
Well then you might be very interested in this in depth article we wrote: Forestal Siryon VS Specialized Kenevo SL - www.worldwidecyclery.com/blogs/worldwide-cyclery-blog/forestal-siryon-vs-specialzied-kenevo-sl
If it's of any information I have ridden a Spesh turbo levo SL and I now own a Siryon (since October). I can honestly say that the Siryon is just better to ride in every way than the Spesh...more pop, more capable, more playful, better up and down.Just better! 😃
Any chance you could provide the specs of the 39 pound versus the 42 pound version of the bike?
It wasn't anything special, just pricier lighter components. Carbon bars, cranks, wheels, EXO 2.4 tires, carbon railed saddle. Similar part spec to any high end enduro bike that is also aiming to be light. Still had a ZEB and Super Deluxe air for suspension.
It's still almost double the weight of my full suspension.
@@goahead3995 wow! So your full Susser only weighs 9.25 kgs? My Mondraker Foxy carbon is 12.5kgs and is the lightest bike in the group of friends I ride with.
70k population and 2 of the coolest bike brands (Commencal also) I gotta moved to Andorra
Same.
And some of the gnarliest trails in the world too! 😎
its amazing but also one of the most expensive places to live in and you have to be a resident to get any tax breaks which is hard to attain. its pretty much like living in Monaco. most live outside of the border and commute in
How can I get some of these in my MTB shop?
I'm thinking on buying one but concerned about battery range, if only using eco mode what sort of elevation gain are you achieving? Thanks
I wish there was more time devoted to the motor. This build looks like pure quality so more detailed info would have done it justice, or not? 🤔
Has this company made any mountain bikes or have any experience in mountain bikes in the past?
Absolutely and honestly we should have communicated that more. Every person on their team has come from high level engineering positions at Unno, Mondraker, Orbea and Commencal. The company is totally compromised of people with the right credentials.
@@WorldwideCyclery sounds good 👍 bikes look really good. I always like to support companies or new companies with a background in bikes 🚴. Not really into the companies that have nothing to do with any form of biking who try to jump on the e bike train just because of the popularity boom.
wow😀
Wow is right ;)
Damn, Jeff got that Jimmy Neutron look going on.
Baaahaha yeah I need a haircut as usual.
Seems like the motor has the same specs as TQ (Trek Fuel EXe)
They definitely share some similarities!
How does it compare to the Kenevo SL?
We knew that question would come up so we covered it in detail 😁 - www.worldwidecyclery.com/blogs/worldwide-cyclery-blog/forestal-siryon-vs-specialzied-kenevo-sl
@@WorldwideCyclery 64° is on the verge of making the front feel like chopper….I switched mine around to the 65° but I did put a 180mm zeb on the front….with that little of vertical they will need an extender soon but the price is awesome if they have actual technology in their carbon frames
👍👍👍🙏
Why no street bike with full suspension and 35 mph?
Hi Kevin I was reading and doing my DD for a bike as you stated. And suggestions , it will be greatly appreciated. Yes that mountain bike is sweet. If I had the big $ as this beast. I would buy a used car. Lol. 5k is my limit, and even willing to build .y own bike. Luv the new x scam electric systems . It's revolutionary as is the new pinion , crazy technology. Exciting times. Thx again.
Hi cycle price what?
Why does the price jump from 9700 to like 15k when you click on it?
It depends on what model you are looking at. We have Siryon's from $9.7k - $14.8k USD depending on the build kit. Also note, our website will automatically change your currency based on the IP address you are looking at our site from. Eg. if you are in Canada you will automatically see CAD.
Looks great , is it cheaper than a used car?
My god thats a sexy bike.
This brands sounds a lot like a new Orbea brand.
Bringing up Andorra but not bringing up Commencal 👀
What is price this bycycle
You are from.
I am from India
Defiantly on the right track, but until prices come down for these lighter weight bikes ( like I am sure they will) who can justify paying that much? Hmmm this bike or a new Yamaha tenere 700. IMO we are still 5 years away from true affordable useful e-bikes.
Yeah but the Yam is not build and painted by hand by almost one guy only
It s craft work vs Chinese and robots work you are comparing here...
BOOST MODE ALL DAY LONG
Nice, but who can pay $9k to $14k for a bike?
My legs have all day range
Isn't the motor made by Bafang?
Sort of. Forestal engineered the motor in house and Bafang brought it to life via the manufacturing part.
Yup, the m600 ans new m610 crazy . Put I soooo want the new revolutionary pinion, and scram x electric system.
I'm sure it's very $$$$
$9,700?!!! OMG. Come on, Jeff.
Sur ron x is better.
Very small battery.
I have recently bought two used cars for less than half the price of this bike. Can't justify that much money for a bike.
If only it had the TQ motor..
Really don't like that 25 bb drop. You pedal a lot faster on an ebike and you need more clearance than on a normal bike.
I'm curious to know why you feel that a higher cadence requires more ground clearance?
@@richardtrubger427 Not cadence speed. You go two times faster or more usually on an ebike and as you pedal constantly you are getting constant pedal strikes in sections where you never do on a normal bike. When you have more speed the suspension compresses more. And you also just pedal constantly.
@@rawmancemtb that's an interesting point and I can see the sense of it for e-bikes with big batteries, but for me - I see light weight ebikes like the Siryon being used to shuttle to the top to be able to enjoy the down on a bike that feels essentially the same as an analogue bike (complete with low BB height). As such, in order to maximize elevation gain, on my Siryon, where possible, I choose fire roads or even tarmac to ascend. I guess it all depends on what type of riding you enjoy most...there is no one size fits all solution. NB I have ridden a full-fat ebike and the difference when descending is like night and day.
@@richardtrubger427 Full ebikes are marginally slower and considerably less maneuvareble descending. It's a real downside. But they turn normal trails into something completely different when your average speed is 20+kmh instead of 8kmh. And you can also chain everything together as you don't redline after every techincal climb.
Massive yoke with a coil shock? On a frame meant to be light weight? Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.
I sent an 11' drop over an 18' road gap on mine multiple times... sweet as. No issues.
Matter of time. Call fox, ext, and push and see what happens when you ask them any a coil on this kind of frame.
Looks better than the Ibis e-bike, that's for sure. But still, it's an ebike, and will probably be thrown away in ~3yrs.
That's an interesting observation...why would you think an e-bike is more likely to be thrown away than an 'analogue' bike?
@@richardtrubger427 Because these hunks of junk come with batteries and motors that will be obsolete in a few years, and the frame won't be able to mount the upgraded version of those. At least a normal MTB frame has standardized dimensions and mounts, meaning it can easily be upgraded over time.
Is not an bike with a motor (eMTB) being called light weight a bit of an oxymoron..."given the amount of power"...??
Compete? At $14,000, Forestal should have zero competition. Just what is this bike made for? Paris Hilton? Tom Cruise? Warren Buffett? Who can & would pay that price except the filthy rich. It's carbon fiber with a motor stuffed in it so lazy people won't sweat going uphill. Carbon, which has been around since the 1980's and should by now be priced similarly to metal. A fancy-looking frame, some colorful marketing, and bingo...ya got a bike for rich slobs.
It’s a massive shame that you cannot buy a frame set from them. The components they put on the bikes really suck for heavier riders. I weigh almost 120kg and a Lyrik fork just feels like an overcooked spaghetti to me. Would definitely consider buying a frame and building one up though.
At that price point the new Giant limited Passed it In technology in all areas. But weight... The forestal battery goes down quickly
#cedricgracia
Warranty? Eebs are cool but reliability across the board hasn’t been great…
