Revel Ranger "Version 2" Same Same, But Different, But Still Same

- These days, the Revel Ranger is a bike that doesn't need any introduction. It's a bike that we were extremely stoked to see from Revel when they released it back in 2020, and over the last few years it's been the bike of choice for riders everywhere, for good reason. Take the proven CBF suspension design and add Revel's recipe for the perfect short travel mountain bike, and you have a bike that's extremely efficient, fun, feature packed, and handsome to boot. With the second version of the Ranger, those basic elements are still present, plus updates that riders will be happy to see. The main updates have occurred in the rear triangle and linkage area, where rear tire clearance has been increased and a SRAM UDH has been implemented, in addition to an updated to the bearing hardware and a hollowed out rear shock yoke. Least but not last, a couple of fresh colors have adorned this new bike including the raw carbon with bronze accents, and the classic Tang that you may recognize from the OG Rail. dude, Jeff , OMG. I have gen 1 Ranger and thought I was just kicking up rocks on the rear stays..genius detective work on the wheel flex and low clearance ...DUH!
.....I'm just here for the picture of Jared holding trending March 2023 products... 😆 HA! On a serious note now, these Revel's have always caught my eye. Love the linkage, look, colors. My neighbor had a Ranger (L) in 2021 and I did throw a leg over it and rode it. What a bike, however it was WAY too small for me as I'm 6'4" and their sizing seems a tad on the smaller side. Wouldn't mind trying an XL. Cheers!
Solid improvements on an already good bike. I’ve had one for 2 years and absolutely love it. Now I’ll have to find a way to hide the purchase of the v.2 from my wife 😈

literally just ordered the current, now old version. From what I heard in your video's, i wont regret it. Only thing that i would have liked is the UDH. And that redesigned yoke looks badass as well

Thanks Jeff. Great video, as always. What's the weight of your stock build? I've become more of a weight weenie as I get older, and I shoot for the 26-27 lbs. range. Is that reasonable for this bike?

great update...was hoping a change to the head angle 1/2 degree or 1 degree more slack.
You can get a headset that will slacken the angle by 1°

Do they have a Rascal which is around the same travel? If so what’s the difference?
@Revel it would be dope if you planned to sell that Yoke separately as well as the rear triangle. that v1 is beloved. Ibis F'ed over its owners by dropping the ripmo AF and its V2. Your company on the other hand has updated bike specs that current owners appear to be able to swap out.

Jeff, if you are a bit heavier rider like 205 pounds would you consider a pike in the front on the ranger or do you think that the SID is up for the task?
