  • This is Part 2 in a series of videos I'm making for finishing this smoothbore musket kit. This is defiantly and "intermediate" kit as there is a lot of trimming of wood and metal finishing required.

    I agree with everything you said, I encountered the same issues with my build. To include the having to significant filing on the trigger.

    How much finishing work did the barrel require? I put together a TC ML about 35 years ago. I had to draw file the barrel flats and polish it to achieve the finish I was going for. I browned that barrel and used a lighter stain and finish than your did. Your barrel looks really nice with shine to it. Did you have the bright steel plated with something or do you just wax or oil the metal parts? It came out great IMHO
