    When you use biocuplar for philodendron multiplication what is the most suitable amount of the following chemicals
    1.BAP
    2. Half or full ms
    3.sugar
    And how many times do we need to turn the biocupler per week? ,

    What would happen if I tried TC with a really large explant (like a 6 inch long piece of new, actively growing plant growth on a tropical rainforest cactus)? Do you think this could potentially be used to accelerate plant growth and maturity, if I also never divide it?
    Also I bought a biocoupler and can't wait to experiment with it!

      @PlantCellTechnology  Před 2 lety +2

      6 inches (that is about 15 cm) of the explant is too large. You don't need to use that big explant for the tissue culture procedure. IF you want to use a larger explant then try 2-4 cm. that will work.

    When are you going to do a full cannabis media break down? :)

      Thanks for showing your interest in our videos. We're trying to create content on diverse topics and many are lined up to be released in coming weeks. But, we will try our best to create a series on cannabis soon.
      However, before that, if you need immediate assistance with your cannabis tissue culture, you can choose PCT's cannabis consulting service to get your answers instantly.

    hi did u autoclaved this sheet of paper in beginning of the film?

    • @PlantCellTechnology
      @PlantCellTechnology  Před rokem

      No. you never autoclave a sheet of paper. We just keep the new box of tissue after opening its packet in the TC lab itself to wipe the culture area.

      In the same video, you will find that seeds have been transferred to tissue culture and we have obtained tiny shoots growing in each of them. :)

    Hi Francisco! Yesterday I was thinking after all these free lessons that I would order 6 biocouplers from you guys to thank you, unfortunately when I went to basket to pay, it turns out FEDEX defeats the purpose of sending things abroad, I'm in the UK here and 100£ of bio coupler turns into 350£ with postage, is there a way you could send stuff at a normal rate!? 30squids tops, thank you.

    What is the difference between the media used in bio couppler from normal semi solid media( full ms or half MS)?

    • @PlantCellTechnology
      @PlantCellTechnology  Před rokem +1

      Full MS and Half MS are different and Semi-solid and liquid media is different.
      Full MS and Half MS dictate the strength of the media. half MS would be the use of half the quantity of macro and micronutrients including sucrose for your tissue culture process.
      The biocoupler need liquid media (zero agar), while the semi-solid media is a media containing agar concentrations of 0.2 to 0.5%.

    Would this be good for beginners? I'm still browsing through your videos and this caught my eye. I did want to ask, what is the liquid used? I was under the impression the liquid is usually thick due to the agar. Thanks!

    • @PlantCellTechnology
      @PlantCellTechnology  Před rokem +1

      Hi,
      Of course, beginners can also use these.
      The media used is normal MS media supplemented with sugar and plant hormones. Do not use agar with Biocouplers, you don't need it.
