Just ordered the C70 and Ronin RS2. Having lots of Canon glass and an old 1DC, it makes sense for our workflow. Expecting to add cage/armor as soon as that type of stuff is readily available. I think 4K will keep us happy for quite a while.

Is it possible to load a custom LUT but NOT burn the LUT into the footage? Just for viewing on the camera LCD?

Hi Rubidium, I'm entirely new to video, but I have a solid background in still photography. After a ton of research, I purchased the Canon C70. To my surprise, the Canon user manual is, for the most part, completely useless. I see you have a Canon MasterClass for the C70, which is precisely what I need. However, you've mentioned the classes for the C70 are about three hours in length. I'm interested in learning about the C70, but it seems like three hours could not begin to explain everything that one would need to know about this camera. Do you think my lack of video background makes me somewhat cautious about what the course offers?
Don't get me wrong; I love your videos; your presentation is fantastic. But money is tight, so I don't want to sign up for a course that doesn't fully address everything. It seems like CZcams videos assume their viewers know more than they do. Something that drove me nuts for weeks was trying to figure out what "Frequency" is-you'd think that would be in the manual, but no. I finally found out, but it was ridiculous how much research I needed to do before finding the answer. It's things like that that beginning videographers need to know. We need to know all the other stuff too, but when you're just starting, little things like that can stop you cold. I'd love to sign up, but I could use a little reassurance. And, by the way, your videos are awesome! Thanks!

I know what you mean - everyone has a different level of experience and skill. If I was in your position I would try the c70 masterclass and see how you go. I'm sure you'll me more confident with the camera at the end of it and be able to better learn moving forward. If it's not for you, email the site and they'll refund you anytime in the first week. Less than $200 and it will save you weeks of trial and error.
