Canon Masterclass - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Split screen shots would be amazing, too.
Going back to the 8K RAW at the end was even more insane than I thought. WOW that image is nice.
Yeah, I was surprised at the difference lol
yeah it's like the C70 image was out of focus, was like standard Def to HD, it was that drastic...crazy, I've had the R5 for 2+ years and I've never shot in 8K LOL
thanks, it would have being great to see a side by side comp
how did you find editing HVEC? Is it not too compressed for a nice workflow? Also may I ask about your editing setup?
i guess i noticed the contrast thing to. I used some luts on the 420 and they seem super contrasty. This just confirmed my suspicions. I use 10bit 420 because it edits better.
I have a question. I do weddings and I want the best looking image from the C70. What settings would work best and look the best?
How did you colour this footage? Looks great
I’m a c70 user and would like to know how the XML files the camera produces can be used. Thanks for all the great content.
They carry metadata about the clips but they're not that useful. I delete them
Incredible comparison. Man, that 8K Raw! Thanks for the content you share.
Would you still say, after a year, that HEVC 422 10-bit 4K is the best "compromise" codec for quality/ manageable file sizes for long interview content for example?
While I have you, what is your best "no-compromise" 4K codec? 4KHQ XF-AFC? Thanks again for sharing your expertise. I recently shot a music video on R5 on that codec and everyone was blown away.
when you switch from the lowest quality C70 to 8K, it's like the C70 is a camera of the past lol.
I'm a bit late to the party here, but.... regarding the crushed blacks and high contrast in Prem Pro timeline (I think you are using) try going to and untick the box for "Enable Hardware Accelerated Coding" .... yo4u may require a restart of Prem Pro... see if that improves the blacks and reduces the contrast to normal. I hope it works. If so the hardware can't cope with the processing.
Hey man, thanks for making this video, I have a question, do you denoise your C70 footage in every single edit? I am struggling with high contrast scenes like this one, yours look so clean, so I was wondering. ✌🏻
Hey Robert! In darker scenes, I usually shoot Clog3 ISO 800 but that's it. Don't apply denoise in post.
@@Crimsonengine thanks
Truly appreciate your videos. Great stuff! I do have a question regarding the DGO sensor readout. Do you know if the DGO is active when shooting both in ALL I and LongGOP?
Any hints in the menu if it’s on or off? Thought i drop this here, because you seem to know the c70 inside out ;)
Thanks in advance!
The DGO is active in all compressions and codecs as far as I know. I can see it dropping out at high frame rates but I haven't tested it.
Hi. How easy is the footage to edit ... does it run smooth on the timeline?
Least compression edits the smoothest.
Isn't the 4k long-gop 160mbit and not 260mbit?
Would love to see your process for sharpening your C70 footage (if any). I'm coming from a GH5 and getting used to the softer footage is tough!
I love the softer look of my C70. Feels far more cinematic. Alexa cameras along with some of the most expensive cinema lenses in the world are used for their softness.
@@limitedhangoutlive Fair enough. I've found that when I put C70 4k footage on a 1080p timeline at 100% it just doesn't look fantastic.
I hate the gh5 fake oversharpening
i use tiffen black promist 1/8 on the c 70 to maker her softer. the r5 and 56 images are very video hard sharp etc. another ästhetic.
Great Video....would you think that by using a recording monitor which would increase the 10 bit to 12 Bit image would increase the clarity. Bc for this price Canon should at least have give it Raw or 4.5/5 K and as you pointed out in another Video the C 200 which puts out Canon Raw besides its bigger size is definately a better fit unless Canon comes out with a firmware update to give us better and higher quality codexes. I would even go so far tosay that either depending on your Budget the 1 DX Mk III or the C 300 now with the new Black Magic 12 G Recording monitor will give you more for your money. Or if you want to save money just buy the Sigma FP that you have or the Sony FX3 and connect it to an external Recording screen. Of course you will need a few new lenses.
Lol no
Great vid
The funny thing is that after all this effort most people are watching video content on cell phones 😄🙂😣😥😭
After uploading to youtube, they all look the same )))
2600Mbps 😂
