This was super helpful! I noticed something was off on some of my close-up shots using Digital IS. I Have Digital IS on/off set to a button, do you recommend pausing over that? I think the main difference with on/off is that is crops in and out whereas pause will just keep the same framing but stop the Digital IS. I think?
Also, love your content, super entertaining, flows well and the humor is great. Plus extremely informative!
You got it, with the pause the crop stays the same so your shot is still usable, but more importantly, you don't need to cut to change it.
@@SoundItOutFilms oh! That’s another good point. Didn’t even think about having to cut to change. Thanks again for the info!!
Thanks for the video. I mostly agree. I’ve come to this rule: wide lenses is usually ok to use the digital is. But anytime you are close to your subject, turn it of no matter what the focal length… it’s not worth taking the chance and f#%* up your shot.
I totally noticed this when shooting weddings! When I'm shooting a ceremony or speeches, from a monopod, I would notice the frame randomly drifts. So now, I turn it off in those instances. GREAT info! Also, I literally laughed outloud on the last part of this hahah.
Thanks for using Tilta cage and Tilta mini follow focus! Amazing Video!
Thanks for making dope products!
That first no go, the beats music video, had definitely caught me out a few times. Ha
Brilliant video!! Thanks so much for the tips. You’ve won a subscriber 🙏🏼🙏🏼
The ending was amazing!🎸🤘🤣
Man, this is like a C70 course! haha...
thanks for sharing this and saving us a ton of time (and struggles lol)
Well I certainly don't know that until today as well. Digital IS pause is definitely gonna be a game changer. Cheers legend.
Your videos are so informative and great to watch. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences with us.
man every single one of your videos is so helpful. Thanks for making them!
such good finds man, thanks for these tips!
Super. Thank you!
Dude this was super helpful. Love it! Would love to have you on my podcast sometime if you're down!
Hell yea, I’d love to Golden Hour it up!
Hahaha the end is amazing
Great vid! Thanks for sharing your findings 👍
Tons of great information, but that ending was 👌
Random, I tried Liquid Death Mango water today and it was cool!
In the shaky liquid death drinking shot you look like you could be the hardest frontman for a metalcore band.
Can you set custom presets for is depending on the lens? Does it ask you if you want to change it as a reminder when using vintage lenses? LUMIX cams let you dial in presets so you can just cycle through it. Hoping c70 does this also since I’ll probably forget lol
Eric, I really appreciate you and this channel. You're saving me from some painful mistakes. Thank you!
Hi, is it possible to have presets for different focal lengths? And eventually would be possible to switch between them while recording? I'm thinking about cine zooms in this case, and the possibility to zoom while recording and quickly set the right focal length. Tnx
thank you for this.. super helpful. I thought my camera is broken..
I learned the concert one the hard way..
What a solid use of liquid death Hahahha
🤘
thx again !!!
I set my customs button from day one to turn it of.
Thanks for the insight
Thanks for the tips ma
4:45- 🤣🤣🤣
great video
What’s the difference between pausing it vs turning on or off? Thanks bro, love ur channel, and keep rockin!
You don't need to cut. Thanks!
Do you need to keep your finger on button 11 to pause stabilization or do you push once to pause and then push again to resume stabilization?
what a funny twist ! lol
Hey Eric, thanks for making this! What’s the difference between turning the IS off or pausing it? Thanks
You can keep rollin!
Awwww! Thanks!
What follow focus are you using?
Nice!
When you do shoot with a lens with IS, do you use it when handheld or on a monopod?
Great question. No, I'd just use the lens IS if I had it, not digital.
