  • In our latest WTF series, we take a look at some of our favorite stars and filmmakers who have seemingly disappeared or altered their careers over the years to the point that begs the question; WTF happened? Now, before you think we're just picking on celebrities or running some gossip rag stuff, think again! We take a fun (and sometimes funny), researched and fair approach, looking at all angles that led our subject to wherever they are now (which isn't necessarily a bad place at all). If anything, it answers the question of where these fine folks went, how they got there, and where you can find 'em now.
Shia LaBeouf is one of those guys you can't help but root for. While he's had his off-screen troubles, but on-screen he's delivered a slew of incredible performances that suggest, despite everything, he may be one of the greatest actors of his generation. For real. So check out our look at WTF Happened to Shia LaBeouf?

I've been saying I wanna remake Face Off(because the competitive nature already of having 2 actors get into each other's head) with Jim Carrey and Jared Leto, and I wanna be the director and get in their head and egg the competition on, and see what method acting+uncut narcissism×10,000,000 looks like lol

He was also in the Disney Channel Original Movie “Tru Confessions”; where he played Trudy’s (Tru) developmentally challenged brother! I’m surprised that one wasn’t mentioned, because that, for me, was a stand-out role for him. His acting skills in that was superb and is constantly overlooked, especially in a Disney Channel film.

    Tw:
Why do people keep thinking “Hollywood” is what made him “crazy”? If you actually read about his childhood, he was mentally abused a lot by his father. And at the age of 9, he heard his own mother get r*ped. And the man got away.
He suffered from PTSD of those two incidents, and he thought he needed to act to escape his troubled childhood so he can make money for his parents. That put a lot of stress on his life. And he had to carry that stress till he hit his breaking point.
He also said in a 2019 interview that none of the weird stuff happened to him Hollywood. And he was lucky that it didn’t. He has mental health issues from his childhood. But all in all he’s a great actor and super committed to his work. At least he changed for the better.

I grew up where they filmed transformers 1 and 2, so Shia and everyone was around town and eating out. Well I had left already to join the army, well one night I’m trying to sleep, and I get a call from my dad at like 1130 pm. Thinking it’s an emergency I answer, I also have PT at 0530 so I’m half asleep, I can hear him but couldn’t make out what he was saying because he was as pretty drunk, and it was loud. So I tell him to repeat what he said and he’s all, “son, I just took a piss next to that Shia guy from the transformer movie. He had a hand injury and looked really wasted (coming from someone drunk that was kinda funny) but he said what’s up to me.” 😂😂 I wasn’t even mad at that point, I was all thats actually pretty cool dad, but why couldn’t you have just told me tomorrow? I guess he was just excited lol.
