Good nuggets can get a Touchdown
As someone who had one of those as a kid (not sure how I originally got it, I just found it in a bin one day) I would really love this!

The question is…can you call them McNuggets?
Lmao
He has to now
I hope so!
No maccasnuggs
Yes
When I was kid, I loved stickers. Adding stickers to any crap made it so much better. Extra points if stickers had glitter or were 3d. Adults might hate them, but companies know what they are doing. And Dankpods is full ass grown man reviewing toys, so he might not be an exact target group.
I miss 3d stickers so much!! I hardly see 3d ones now :(
The sticker revival is getting real popular now but it’s mostly just anime related. Whether or not it’s a good thing depends on who you are I guess but damn I love stickers, especially the big ones I buy sometimes.
This Bob Sinclair thing was like my favourite McD's toy ever back in the day. Thanks for the nostalgia rush

Nothing from a happy meal will ever be better than those food items that transformed into robots.
Changeables for the win every time. Still have the full set.
Furbies were pretty cool too
The 2001 Bionicle Happy Meal toys would like a word
I had those. The pterodactyl hotcakes.
Oh man the burger king pokemon toys from the 90s. right after the mewtwo movie came out
Ahhh… just love this guy I just sit and relax to watch him and wait till he says, “Aww no it takes AAA’s”

I can’t tell you how much I rewatch his videos i love em that much and Thursday night is my favourite day because another fun video comes out
Or oh no my pckells

Honestly, I really love the abbreviations of the Aussies. They've been unintentionally invading my American dialect, leading to some awkward situations. Feeding me more Aussiespeak is just going to ruin my American English more, and I'm fine with that
We call mcdonalds Maccas
And a trip down to one is reffered to as a maccas run
@@vapor404 I did learn about good ol' Maccas when in Aussieland. It's the thing that made me realize that my English was falling apart when I seriously offered that my coworkers get "maccas" for work... as an American
As a non-native speaker I'd been saying Maccas and "she'll be right" for years before realizing they were Aussiespeak.
we call our mcdonalds "Mickey d's" and our walmarts "wally worlds" in the south

7:45 I love that they made an absolute garbage-tier product and then fitted it with security screws to ensure that it would be thrown out when the batteries ran down.
this actually brought back long ago childhood memories of my dad being super chuffed he had a massive assortment of security screwdrivers and he could stick it to the McMan and fix all my McDonald's toys whenever they stopped working I think between my mom carefully super gluing the things back together and my dad fixing the electrical stuff the damm things couldn't die
@@sb-cz7fk I remember being the only kid in school who could take apart Nintendo products in the 90's, thanks to my dad's set of oddball tri-wing screwdrivers.

Love that impression of an average 2nd grader seeing a Frank for the first time. Also, I had one of those pull-outy maccas music toys (as you would say) and I really liked it because for some reason it made me realize that drivers exist inside things that play music but aren't instruments. I was quite young and randomly that little piece of landfill made me realize that there has to be something making the noise inside the audibly hollow shell and I asked adults and they told me that drivers exist and I'm like wut.
I love how your solution to the poo was not to clean it, but to wear gloves. I am imagining how this translates to how you use the restroom. 😂😂😂
As anyone would say 15 years ago without hesitation; Like a man!
Now for the sad Gen Z and latestage Millenials that have lost the plot; What I am referring to here is specifically a young bachelor recently moved away from home. You lacking context is no excuse for repressing others, it is however inexcuseable to refuse to respect context :)
He'd just smear it around if he tried to wipe it off. That's burned dirt, grease and mold release agent that got stuck in the part when it was formed.
An inclusion that size has absolutely no business getting sent to production, even for cheap trinkets.

Here's the thing about Polly Pockets: They were meant to be little dolls that you could carry around in cases that looked like other things. The inside would have a mini apartment or whatever (hence your stickers to make it decorated as such) and the outsides would look like, for example, the originals were designed like makeup compacts. They didn't function as such, but they were sort of a little trick I guess. The "MP3/Digicam element is the secret (albeit kinda junky) case that's meant to look like one thing and open into something else.
Toys, man. Toys.
The boys got mighty Max, a toy line I'm still amazed died before the Polly Pocket one did. They were pretty popular in the '90s and then completely fell off by the early 00'.
Somehow Polly got a refresh but Max got left behind.
Bluebird Polly best Polly though 🥲
those original Polly Pockets were SO GOOD. I get why they made them bigger, swallowing small parts and stuff, but I'm still low key mad they discontinued the original tiny ones lol
But the real Polly Pockets were a million times better than the plastic junk showed in this video though, i remember girls having all kinds of different shell like things that could be opened up into something you describe, i had a micro machines thing when Polly Pockets was "in", Polly Pocket for the girls and micro machines for the boys
My older sister had the Polly Pocket Sparkling Mermaid Adventure which was shaped like a book. Coolest toy set imho. Me and the kid down the street filled it with dirt and pill bugs one time; cuz you know, they're also small or whatever.
I had one of the American idol mp3s as a kid. I would play that 40 something second loop over and over again. Apparently one of my favorite toys, so favorited in fact that my parents kept it to be a family heirloom; still works too. Really cool cuz I was thinking about this during the start of the vid and when you brought it out I went bananas. Gonna show this to my dad, he’ll love it. He hated that little jingle. Thanks for bringing back some memories Dankpods.
Keep me updated on his reaction.
Yes I had one and my parents hated it too HAHA
I had and probably still have somewhere in the attic the "I'm a gummy bear" version of the first one. Can't believe that was all the way back in 08, i was thinking it was more 2010-2012
i had a version with hannah montana
If I remember right, that low quality sample is just ~30 seconds long and some variants play that sample twice with each button press.
At 6:39 I had one of those McDonalds American Idol iPod toys back in ‘07 to ‘08 while living with my grandparents while my dad was deployed. I recall using the damn toy as a makeshift doorbell when me and my sister were playing some game. It was an interesting time.
I had one of those Shrek watches back in 2010, that thing was my first happy meal toy and it was still kicking as a fridge clock till 2015!! I cannot describe how ecstatic I was when I saw it lol.
5:57 We had an applause-o-matic knocking around our house for YEARS. I would just pick it up and mess with it while I was listening to music or something and then it would disappear and turn up in a drawer or something a few months later. I think my entire family fooled with it off and on
We have something similar: it is plastic, on a blue handle, you need to swing it back and forth, two red hands clapping to a stationary, thin, blue hand (part of the handle). Man, if you really swing it, it can be pretty loud! 👏
@@zsombor_99 holy hell I have one

Can you imagine how much parents hated that?

1:45 Funny enough..
my father collected these things here in germany.
I think i even have one myself that plays some german pop song about giving your love in form of a star. EIN STEEEEERN der DEINEN NAMEN TRääääGGt.
that toy at 1:40 is so nostalgic for me! I'm from the UK, and I remember getting a Sugarbabes one when I was like 8 years old or something. Kinda fun but absolutely pointless lol
"Hungry Jack's" is such a better name for a restaurant than "Burger King"
And their burgers are mid anyway. Not worth fast food royalty. Hell, McDonald's at least is a clown. They make fun of themselves. I think burger King couldn't call themselves hungry Jack's in the US because of Jack-in-a-box. Copyright laws suck.
@@Random_Guy_20xx but they’re named Burger King here in the UK too
I’m not sure if they share a mascot but a creepy ass king is definitely a turn off
I concur, I have yet to come across any nobleman, let alone a King, who consideres "Burger King" his favorite estblishment.
@@Random_Guy_20xx I can't remember the last time Ronald McDonald or Burger King appeared in any advertising. Their current mascot at McDonald's is a possessed happy meal, isn't it?
Dude… I genuinely loved the first one as a kid!
My best friend still has one of those and it’s incredible how bad they sound. But the nostalgia kicks hard
So right I had the American idol mp3 thing and I still remember that jingle. Such a bad item I love though
Please keep the Applause-O-Matic whenever a broken nugget actually works.
0:12 Funnily enough they did the same thing here in Brazil changing McDonald's to "Méqui" (The shorthand we use to call the place).
I legit had this exact Bob Sinclair nugget in the past. It's forever associated with Star Wars for me, don't ask how.
I'm asking how.
@@zackjones8802 because he was a child when they both existed
I actually had the same American Idol one that he shows. I probably still have it in a box of junk somewhere, unless I tore it apart to mess with the inside like I probably had kept it for in the first place
Imagine being in maccies/maccas eating nuggets listening to The worst mid 2000’s music with nugget phones.
What a time to be live.
I actually had a couple of those slide up players. There was a Girls Aloud one that was so unbelievably common it was upsetting.
I had one of those early mini radios
nothing like hearing bitcrushed "can we bring yesterday back around" a hundred times in the maccas queue
@@kackers oh man youve reminded me that my sister broke hers almost immediately,
Im sure i had a mcfly one as well

I had one with About You Now by Sugababes as a kid. I really really want to find it again
Can't wait to see the applause-o-matic on the drum stream
The after-credits scenes with Frank will always be better than any ones from a Marvel movie.
Fun fact: Japan also has it's own abbreviation for mcdonalds
Either Makudo or just Makku
France too, McDo.... pronounced "McDough".
In Malaysia, McDonald's is abbreviated to McD, or "Mekdi".
I don’t blame them, the full name has twice as many syllables in Japanese. Plus they have abbreviations like marika for Mario Kart. Abbreviate everything
In Brazil we call it “Mac”, even the phone app is called “Méqui”, which is how you say it in portuguese
@@falalogo We often call it "Mac" in Poland as well, but it doesn't appear in official branding. It is referred to as "Mac" in some of its ads though. Or we say "mcDonald" without the " 's".

I was born in 05, and acctually this looped Bob Sinclar was one of my favourite toys i’ve ever had. Even though i was easily getting bored with it… I was still amazed by how does it work…. probably i still have it somewhere in my house. Thanks for short nostalgic travel
I had the MP3, I was so “entertained” by it😂
I remember getting a McFly nugget when I was younger... should have kept hold of that piece, god knows how much it would be worth now!
I had the mcfly and the Jason Derulo one. Coincidentally I can't stand either of their music now
The McFly one was gold tier, along with the black eyed peas one
@@malachitewallace5312

That sounds familiar! There was a "Burger King" in Mattoon, Illinois that was there before the chain spread out. A lawsuit was filed, and the chain Burger King was banned from building any restaurants within 20 miles or so. I've actually been there, and I prefer it to the chain!
I had this exact McD player and it would only play the opening 40s of everybody dance now to the point that I didn't realise there was more to the song for about 10 years. Genuinely was my most loved mac toy since I was listening to that loop constantly.
Upon reflection, I'm not sure if it was bob sinclar or cc music factory
Well, who DOESN'T love McNuggets?

I don't, too crunchy when I finally went to a mcdonalds to try some.
Low key chicken mcnuggets are my favorite meal 😂 im almost goddamn 26
Dankpods' slow transformation into Ashens is nearing completion
The polly pocket stuff is actually on theme for the Polly pocket toys. Polly lived in a house that looked like something else when it was all closed up. So it truly was a cheap version of a polly pocket toy.
I have been having a bad week so watching your videos has really helped thanks mate
You know it's bad when the Lego nugget could’ve been considered an upgrade.
7:12 I used to have one of those American Idol players, best "mp3" player ever.
in Germany there was a time when adolescents would say Mc'kes instead of McDonald's (it was pronounced almost like Macca's).
it lasted very short, and very soon everyone only said the full name (McDonald's) again
I had that applause maker toy as a kid and I loved it! I had no idea it came from McDonald’s until now. Cool to see it in its original packaging :)
I wonder how long until the Patron roll is so long that he straight up passes out trying to fill the time before the patron video reveal.
This just unlocked memories of my favorite childhood nugget- the Open Season themed radio earpiece Burger King toy from 2006. I’d love to see you pick one of those apart.
Here in germany we also call McDonalds Maccas (sometimes written Mecces, Mäckes or Megges). In certain parts of germany, Mäcci, or Goldene Möwe (translated: golden gull)
5:41 I’m pretty sure they sell those at Glove World in Bikini Bottom

I still have some memorable Happy Meal items around, like a CD with some stupid game on it and a Penguins of Madagascar box with a hidden opening mechanism, those were dope
Finally! A nugget I owned! I had that Bib Sinclair one and, my God, running the batteries low was the best thing ever because it distorted and slowed and became demonic, which was my favourite thing ever

I have been following DankPods for about one year now and I was waiting for the moment he would show something I actually used to own and use. Didn't expect that the Macca's Bob Sinclair nugget would claim that title. Thank you DankPods♥

oh man, the 2000s nostalgia is real with this one... i can't help but love the polly pocket garbage, i think i had one of those as a kid! these are undeniably so bad but i am so fond of them anyway

I had one of the older ones that had a different shape (thinner, with a circular bit where the speaker is sticking out to the sides, and no sliding out part) that had Crazy Frog on it. It probably also contained an identical board with just a glob top chip and a switch. I remember them also giving out singles on small CDs at some earlier point. At least those weren't total garbage.
ive been here from beginning, man ure amazing, love your videos, dont stop
Unearthed some memories here
I remember owning those pollyworld ones and the blonde chick's arms never moved.
Also had one of the American Idol ones, and their later "sing!" series.
At least they had some effort, or at least money, out into them back in the day for barebones eletronics. The Thor toys they have right now in NA you have to use an app to get any use out of 3/4 of them.
I seem to remember in 2011 (and I googled it to confirm) there were "iPod Dock" happy meal toys, where an "ipod" (cartridge) slotted into a "dock", and played a certain artist. Pretty sure they had a Black Eyed Peas one.
Found a link to a "Museum of Obselete Media" page
That sounds pretty cool
The applause-o-matic is really a nice addition to the desk for doing applauses on some reviews
I remember finding one of those Bob Sinclar ones at my cousin's place back in like 2009. I had no idea what it was, where it came from or who Bob Sinclar was, all I knew was it played funky music at horrendous quality, I had this "wait I've seen this before" feeling until he pulled out the sticker

The brown spots on the American Idol one is probably burn. I used to work in injection molding and white plastic (especially ABS) is prone to burning during injection. It’s caused by shearing heat when the barrel temperatures are too high/injection speed is too fast. If the mold isn’t well-ventilated, the gasses created from molten plastic won’t have anywhere to escape to during the injection phase, which usually results in combustion within the cavity. Love your vids. Honestly hope you go down as one of CZcams’s greats.
