Yes we should have, and several others, when we beat ourselves! Still The Best College football program in history! Not just my opinion, but have read that Ohio State, and Oklahoma, are considered the two best programs in college football history! 🌰🏈
@grodhagen Why Joe Germaine wasnt the starter, is a great example of why they never did win a NC, nor could not beat good teams, under Cooper. One was a starter, one was not...and it wasnt in the order Cooper started then in.
This was total destruction of Penn State, revenge for 2 years earlier. Too bad we didn't get the shutout. Also, Joe Montgomery was a beast. Watch him in the 4th quarter and he was a freshman. Too bad he broke his leg and missed a whole year. Always one of my favorites.

My aunt was doing her PhD at OSU and had tickets at the back of B-deck, so we couldn't see the scoreboard and had to stand the entire game, but I'll never forget how loud it was. You can also see the soccer lines on the field from the inaugural season of the Columbus Crew!
College Gameday was at this game and it was thr first time Lee Corso made his pick for the game by putting the mascot headgear on. He chose the Buckeyes!

There were few tickets available for sale outside of Ohio Stadium.
Even though Penn State lost this game, it was an honor for them to be involved in the first-ever head gear pick by Lee Corso even though he didn't pick us to win. (He was correct though) "BUCKEYES!" That scene never gets old.

Me and brother in law were at this game. I was frothing with revenge from 94’! The Buckeyes totally kicked pee states ass that day it was glorious!! North end zone screaming and watching our boys score on them time after time. Great game OHIO STATE
Sometimes I forget how good these mid 90 ohio state teams were..at least till the end if the year...1993...95..96..97..98...they lose to Mich st in 98 coached by Nick Saban....95-98 they lost to MIchigan which in turned cost them a shot at the nt...in 97 the also lost at Penn St. but were back up to no.4 by the time they played at MIch who was no.2 and would end up winning a share of the nt that year w Neb ...that's 5 legit seasons they missed out on a shot...the big ten was also alot better back then too
