- This 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Castilian Estate Wagon is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. Traditional Coachworks of Chatsworth, California, produced a limited series of wagons between 1975 and 1976 using the Fleetwood Brougham platform. The vehicle was called the Fleetwood 60 Castilian Estate Wagon and it featured a reworked Fisher body that had a forward-raked C-pillar that traveled up and over the roof. In the back there was a sharply angled rear lift-gate with an integrated wind deflector. They were equipped with the Brougham d'Elegance trim package, carpeted footrests, pillowed seats, AM-FM radio, outside temperature gauge and a multitude of power-operated options. It is estimated that approximately 50 of these ultra elegant station wagons were produced. Much of this was due to the Castilian option costing nearly 3 times as much as a regular Fleetwood. This particular Thorn Red ’76 Castilian Estate wagon has only 9710 miles showing on the odometer. You will be hard pressed to find another one with this low mileage. The paint is in very good shape with only showing a few minor flaws. The inside of this beautiful wagon still looks new. The plush lamb’s wool carpet is soft to the touch. The car still rides like a dream and the only reason it is being sold is that the owner does not want to ruin it by putting several miles on it per year. So if you are looking a low mileage heavily optioned Cadillac from the mid ‘70’s to collect, then look no further and give us a call! Options on this 1976 Cadillac Castilian Estate Wagon include; AC, AM/FM radio, Plush Leather Interior, Power Steering, and Steel Wheels with Wire Hub Caps wrapped in Radial Tires. That car goes on forever. We had a 73 Buick Estate Wagon with three row seating. Great car to ride in across the US when gas was dirt cheap. I bet the ride on this beauty is “to die for”.
Love the colours, especially the light coloured carpets that extend up into the door cards.
It's the car for the sensible mobster with a family.
Or a practical pimp!
A player and a pimp wouldn't drive that Bullshit
@@ChrisJones-jz6el What U Said? We Are Talking Bout Cadillacs Homie!
Yeah..SoWhatAboutIt?!
She's super awesome, I'd love to have a 74-76 Caddie wagon someday
Spectacular Fleetwood. Would love to take this cross country
Imagine the looks you'd get riding around in that beast.
Work of art
A boat i would love to own. Should've left the back seat up for showing the interior.
They made hundreds of these, I had one. Loved it !
A real showpiece of a car, IMO the clam shell rear door could be nice, love the brushed aluminum accent piece behind the rear doors and across the roof incorporating opera lights.
Cadillac wagons of any vintage were specially ordered. The station wagon body style was not available on a regular basis. What made this conversion more palatable is that big GM wagons from 1971 through 1976 were on the "C" body platform.
Elvis owned one as well and bought two more for his band members
He gave one to Colonel Parker, but he borrowed it so often the Colonel gave it back.
This is so awsome it's just calling out make a new version of Vaction with the Griswold's to "The Long Cruise " with Vinnie and the family
I thought the same about this beauty in our St. Louis showroom! www.gatewayclassiccars.com/vehicle/stl/9151/1965-mercury-colony-park
Now that is a neat old Cadillac there! Heck, if I would have had the funds then I'd of been proud to own such a car.
Now that's a ride
It reminds me of my Desoto station wagon. I do like the Cadillac better. I have a Cadillac now but it is not a station wagon.
Thanks for posting the video.
wow I have never seen an older cadillac wagon which wasnt used to carry dead bodies before.
beautiful condition and pretty color
Nice piece.
I like it !!! Looks like big tube of red lip stick . I bet it drinks a lot of gas and floats like a boat . I would love to have it . Thanks for sharing !!!
I like that the horn sounds like a fanfare!
too......
That is the coolest caddy i have ever seen MAN!!! I like it. I think Gardner Cadillac In fresno calif sold a Cadamino style 76 caddy that was cool also. thanks for that.
Beautiful land yacht
I see it will hold all my fishing poles
Looks a lot better than the standard Sedan of the same year.
Thumbs Up Liked !
One of the most beautiful Cadillac I believe that I have ever seen. But is there an issue with the rear seats, since you won't show them?
Nice car. Been on the webb to long. This is 4 yrs ago.
We sold this car in 2016.
This would have been a great car to go on a vacation in.
I would imagine that this car got pretty good gas mileage.
This reminds me of the Ute (El Camino/Ranchero) that was based off of the mid 70's Eldorado
I like it
~ Sure beats The Wagon Queen Family Truckster ~
I think Clark would Agree ~
My Doctor had one of these, only it had a slightly different roofline and a
Vinyl top.
Love the drums.
Did I see one of these on the recent mini series Childhood's end?
I saw one and filled it with gas, when i was a kid in high school working at 76 service station! The driver said it was a prototype! he also said id never see one again! he was right ! til now!
I've seen one on eBay and maybe I'm mistaken but I don't think it was this one. Maybe it's the lighting but would the finish go from red/pink in the sunlight to orange that easily?
Scooterfish58 , I bet it drinks the gas and it would cost a lot to fill this car up . Especially these days !
What a beautiful car! Thanks for sharing! I bet that it floats down the highway!
Agree on the soundtrack, car needs a detailing too.Too bad no sunroof.
See the leather... feel the leather... taste the leather...
song: 'My Angry Toe' by The Red Meat Potato Food Band.
Who comes up with these crazy band names and song tital
Have you given any thought to shooting video while focused?
May be the first Cadillac wagon I’ve seen that WASN’T a black hearse.
While it isn’t the worst I’ve seen, it wouldn’t be my first choice either.
Though I do like the color. Pretty cool.
I think that there were Cadillac ambulances as well.
Liftgate!?! The power gate and glass was cooler from other models
I know. I had a hard time with that too. You see the WOW factor of the car from all other angles, until you get to the back and you let out an underwhelmed moan as you realize you're looking at a Chevy Malibu. I guess this car is like a mullet: formal in the front, party in the back!
Does it come with a matching casket?
Interesting how the entire hatch is on hydraulic arms, that was very rare for American wagons of the 70's, coach built or otherwise. Most of the time the glass was either on its own upward hinges or rolled down power, and the lower portion either opened like an endgate, swung open like a door, or both.
We had a 73 Chevy full size wagon where the window tracked into the roof & the door tracked down in a curl below the rear into a compartment they were nicknamed "clamshell" rear setup, drove that car from NY to KC in 76, 22 hours straight like driving your living room couch around 🤭
The GM "Colonnade" midsize wagons of 1973-77 had a one-piece liftgate..
The Brady Bunch could ride in this baby. @ 3:40 it has a ding in the rear quarter fender.
I think a padded roof would really set this beauty out the roof!
+Lawrence Alvarado it is padded
+Timothy Cote look around the 2:27 mark
tres chic! and FUNKY.... kinda' (like the tune. lol)
I really be!ieve Cadillac missed a segment by not offering a wagon. I don't mean as a regular production car, but as an option, if you will, on the Sedan de Ville. It sure would have been a looker.
is that Peart on the drums?
Brian Kyle
Yes, one of the few recordings from his first band, The Dawdlers.
Persimmon.
Quá đẹp luôn
1 Outstanding ass Station wagon right chere😬
I never knew Cadillac made station wagons
kraftpr they didn't, it was done by a coach builder
Cadillac did make wagons in 2008. The CTS wagon .
Suprise! This version doe'nt have retracting gate and window like it's other GM fullsize counterpart wagons.
I would say that Caddy is red.
what year was Cab Callaways in the blues brothers?
+bill thompson 1980
El techo parece que la pintura está quemada por el sol?
OMG how long is that thing???
James Walsh that's what yo b!txh asked me
💙💙💙🥰💙💙💙💙
Wuzzbbeee wowmow ; I'm gonna research see if there is one in black with white interior. Then I'm gonna buy it.
Asking ?
It’s about the same size as a pickup truck bed
I’m guessing they sold a lot more of these to funeral homes then Bedford wives.
Have someone talk and describe things.
Hard to beat a gm collonnade.
Words are awesome. How about narration
Amazing, but what on earth did people put in the back that they needed all that space, it’s huge!. Especially from an European point of view
Dutch landishRDM , hahahaha.....!!! All of the kids back in the 70's , because we didn't have to wear seat belts back then . I didn't know a kid back then that wouldn't have wanted to lay back there or jump around and play . lol !!
Car Con: You are right:
Elvis' car was actually (amazingly!) more tasteful AND just better than this car...
With the "Biaritz band" I think this one should have used a reverse-landau vinyl top. But FAR more important is that it should have the classic GM "2 & a Half Ton" Clamshell powered rear tailgate & glass! Beyond even THAT, Elvis had them make HIS wagon out of the pillarless hardtop Sedan deVille for the front section...
Wow!
Don’t look like a hurst.
That's because it's purpose in life was not to be used as a hearse but rather as an upscale station wagon .
So, a hearse.
No , a station wagon . Big differences between the two .
Good for people that can't read or just want to watch something dumb too bad it was so dumb does anybody else make a video of this car
If any person donet the vintage car contact me pls
looks like a hearse..
I had a Cady wagon for 2 years. But unlike this one it could leave anything short of a Z06 Corvette in the dust. Supercharged 6.2 liter, 6 speed manual transmission, Brembo disc brakes on all 4...... CTS-V wagon baby!! What this Cadillac wagon wished for in its dreams!
One question why why would you fuck up a Cadillac in this matter is unforgivable. Whoever designed this eyesore was definitely high.
Not a big fan of that dorky hatchback...Would have much preferred to see this wagon with the clam shell design gate.
Nice car! Terrible music!!!🤭
Has dent on the left rear quarter!
paint it black and you got a Funeral Hearse
💪good for funerals!⚰📿and ambulance💉🚨
Imagine walking into a car dealership to see a very rare car and get details and the salesman walks into the scene with a Fender Squire bass guitar and a bass amp strapped around his neck and for the 50+ questions you are dying to know the answers to, you get this! Some douche-bag playing shitty bass licks., probably with a mullet.
The music was annoying
It's too much like a hearse..
Nope.
The music on this channel is terrible.
my god that is positively hideous! I mean, even by mid 70s standards it's hideous. I'd rather have a Homer.
chieftp lol I’m probably the only one here who gets that reference
You seriously think you're the only one that has seen the most popular animated sitcoms of all time?
That's a forty foot big junk, full of holes and bond. Has plywood for a floor and wooden pistons too should have been reduced to a pancake years ago
