Hello! I love your guys’ channel so much. I am a dedicated listener. I glean so much light and wisdom, and you’ve been such a blessing to me!!!
I am also a “Mormon”. When I look at you and I in a big picture… we are so much more alike than you think! Sisters who are raising rig hteous, wholesome, intelligent children. Walking with God and focusing on Him. Our beliefs may be more similar than it seems. We worship Christ as our Savior and Redeemer. The One who makes all things possible. God embodied, in flesh and bones! Hallelujah! It is a bit strong to say we are not Christian’s also, because we may have a few differences in belief. In the grand scheme of things… I think we are more alike than one may think! :)
Thanks for all the good that you do!

I appreciate this comment so much. I am also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I also love this podcast specially because I feel we have so much in common and I can relate to you so much as I also raise my children in Christ. I've shared a few of your episodes with my "mormon" friends as well.
I just want to clarify that Jesus Christ is at the center of our religion and everything we do. We may have some differences but that doesn't mean we are not Christians. We are followers of Jesus Christ and He is our Savior.
I think you both are awesome. I always learn so much from you!

Hi Voetbergs! i found your podcast 6 months ago, and I’ve been really inspired by you. You’ve encouraged me to homeschool my 2 toddlers when they are old enough, you’ve inspired changes in my home systems and routines, and you’ve helped me feel more confident that I can teach my children the gospel even in a world filled with loud and opposing voices. Thank you for your wisdom and for being a light.
I too am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon). We believe that Christ is our Savior, He is the only way to return to our Heavenly Father. We worship Him as God, not the Father, but the Son; God in the flesh and the One who created all things. He is a member of the Godhead with God the Father and the Holy Ghost. They have one purpose and each testifies of the other. I see so many similarities in our faiths and that is what has drawn me first and foremost to your podcast. Thank you for sharing your testimonies and for your goodness!

One of the main issues with posting pictures of your children is this: Are you okay with people capturing/saving your childrens images to photoshop/AI them into petty file p0rn? You won't know about it, but do you care if your child's image is desecrated that way? It's naive to think it doesn't happen daily.

Diastasis Recti: I've ve had great results with using a waist trainer/ corset to help support and train my posture and core muscles. I used one exclusively for about 6 months and now as needed.

23:00 while I do *Not*, generally, touch my husband's library (the "heresy shelf" moved into the study and not in family areas-- we have littles, teenagers are encouraged to study and think, but littles are still in basics formation), if I am to own the management of the household, I *must* have final say over the inventory.
I'm pretty lax as far as wives go, so my husband doesn't have many complaints but those holey shirts are going.😂

A comment about the car keys, my first thought (of course not knowing the whole situation) is perhaps the 4 year old is needing more daddy time? Maybe the only way the little mind could come up with is stopping daddy from going to work to get more quality/quantity time. Our 4 year old “put daddy in prison” (Bible story reference for them) to keep him home for more time. And my husband is intentional about time with our 4 year old. I also had a friend share that at 4 it seems her kids struggle more with daddy being away at work. Just some thoughts.

Food storage made me think of buying more meat in bulk as well (not to store in the same way, but to have on hand in deep freeze). Anyone know of good places to buy in bulk that's not an arm and a leg?

You can find a local farmer. I was using good ranchers but I found buying local was not only more quantity but cheaper. You usually have to put more down upfront though. Worth it to us!

Do you want your children to play Mortal Kombat or whatever the popular video game is? Do you want your children to be hipsters who love all music, drink home brew and bourbon, cuss, and wear tats?
Raise them well, or there will come a day when they are dating a cross dresser, and when you look them in the eye and say, "Do you want him to be the father of your children?", they stare back, and you realize they would. The "small" worldly things like secular music, drinking, smoking pipes and cigars (pints with Aquinas ), and cussing....lead to worldliness. Surprise, surprise.

I'd like to know the rates of alcoholism and mouth and throat cancer etc amongst emergent, catholic, and reformed church members since the inception of the hipster/ emergent church (Rob Bell etc) in the early 2000s.
Carcinogens like nicotine are higher in pipes and cigars. Do the research.
