+Ayub Alom haven't read what the papers say, but bodywork can't restrict the insurance that much can't it? i mean the car is street legal still and all idk... I've never needed to worry, I know how to drive lol. Guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to actually take a glimps in the papers and see what's covered
Car is still leagal. What I mean is the insurance must have gotten higher. Unless you keep it undercover and don't tell your insurance company. But then your fucked if you get in a accident. They might come see your car and your screwed

unless he has it full coverage I don't think it should be any problem, if he crashes his insurance company won't have to pay him anything .
