  • In this video, I install the Longacre accessory switch panel into my C5 Corvette race car. I also cover the use of automotive relays to segment power with an accessory fuse block and how I tapped into switched power from the ignition.

Hi Josh, I just ran across your channel and I am really enjoying it. It is a great way for me to keep up with all you are doing. I'll have to bring my C4 ZR-1 over soon for a visit.

Definitely! I’d love to see the car! By the way, if you’d like to get it on the track, we’ll be at Sonoma with NASA the weekend of Aug 19. They have sessions where you can get your car on track with an instructor. You’re welcome to hang out with me and the rest of the Spec Corvette drivers in the paddock.

looking very nice, good clean layout of everything. i would like to chunk the radio and use that area for a couple switches and afr gauge but i would like to find a simple way to still be able to use my phone for radio, ya know because street car and all.

Thanks! I highly recommend the dual AFR gauge if you’re running a tune. It saved me from burning up rings after my most recent tune.
I just got my hands on the module from C5 data, which should give access to native sensors that I can display on a Solo2DL (or similar device). That might make the 3rd gauge hole in the dash unnecessary. Might be a good option for limited dash space.

@@joshc1017 i would like to see the difference in banks, i dont trust narrow bands very much. i do have a set of "matched" injectors but i never flow tested them. do you do your own tuning?

@@colemcmeans7809 I did my own tuning when I ran carbureted cars but don't trust myself with this system yet. I do use HP Tuners to access and modify the base tune to a limited extent, with coaching from the tuner to optimize it. This last time around, we pushed the AFR higher than normal because the car wasn't making power. When I got it on the track (with more and cooler air at speed), the wideband showed that I was in the mid to high 12s (vs low 12s on the dyno). A small change to the MAF calibration brought it back in line. I just had 3 sets of injectors cleaned and flow tested for the first time. Next step will be to match and install them to see if it helps with the power problem. I added a fuel rail pressure sensor and gauge to make sure there's enough pressure and flow at WOT, too.

Ever done a video on your trans/differential cooling setup?

I thought I had one for the black car but I can’t find it. Must be losing my mind. I just started the trans and diff cooler installation on the silver car today.
