First Time I see a Speedo so realistic. 251 kph Speedo, 249 kph GPS. French qualitat. 👌
Renault Sport are always very realistic with their speedos. All my Megane R.S. I had were very accurate up to top speed, hardly any difference to low speed. About 2-3 km/h to gps speed

I was sceptic about engine but sounds great and power is on point, it's renault 1.8liter so if you need to repair/replace it one day you not gonna have to pay 25k+ for it, future classic for sure as other a110s
it’s a 1.8L
and benefit of the car being this light is that when you don't push it, it will use 6-7L/100km

@@franciscoribeiro9103 I did 6.3/100 with the A110GT on 90km/h speed limit roads and I wasn't restraining myself all that much. Sub 6 was definitely achievable if I didn't pass other cars. On 120km/h roads it's more like 7-8 though.

@@Chris-hw4mq the R is too expensive, the normal ones are 65-80k for the same power which is more reasonable. Still expensive cars tho of course
@@Chris-hw4mqit is not if you look at not just the engine.. A110 R dwarfs way more expensive cars on track. It has carbon everywhere: carbon wheels, carbon hood and back window, plus ceramic brakes. This is VERY expensive. Carbon wheels alone must be around 15k in itself. It's made to take on cayman GT40 that is way more expensive.

340 Nm? I thought it had the same amount of torque as the Megane RS (400 manual, 420 EDC), considering they share the same 1.8 engine (?)

Yes and no. In France there is a taxe that for instance, you d have to pay 40K for a base 718 Cayman of 300 hp. This one is 300 hp too but you d pay 3K of taxe. And you re getting better performance than a base Cayman. Good performance vs money spent.

Exactement. Les français ont toujours faits des voitures avec des chassis, des poids et des tenues de routes radicales, à l'inverse des allemands qui tendent vers la vitesse pure en ligne droite, au détriment de la réelle performance sportive.

So dull the car weighs 300kg less than the closest rival thanks to it
tbf with the 3.9 0-100kmh and 280kmh top speed it aint that bad, even more so considering its going to outrun A TON of stuff in the corners due to how light it is. Good fuel economy and cheap maintenance should be bonuses as well
Not incredible in acceleration, but remember that this car is made for track, you will find very few cars with that good cornering at the same price

In France we have an ecological penalty on Porsches of 50k
In francz a 718 is 60k more expensive because of some ecological reasons
they have almost identical power to weight ratio, Alpine is over 300kg lighter and has double wishbone suspension all around, Cayman has only MacPherson struts front and rear. Compared to the A110R the Cayman is more of a grand tourer.
