9:09 : it's 14:40 and the fuel tank is about 50% full. mileage is 86282km.
13:37 : it's seven minutes later and he burned through about 1/8th of the whole tank. Which is roughly 7 liters. mileage is 86301.
So this car consumed 7 liters of fuel in 7 minutes for 19km. Which is roughly 36l/100km. That's insane haha
I had a tuned 7R and the consumption nearly made me bankrupt haha

@@NOV3LIST 6mpg. But thats running full tilt, using all 492hp. Whenever you drive a car flat out using all the power, you get poor fuel economy, thats why race cars get 3.5-4 mpg and alcohol cars get 1.8. Even a Honda Civic will get 7mpg if you drive it like an F1 car. No surprise at all!
It's hard to tell which is moving faster, fuel gauge or speedometer. Great tuning, congrats!

In South Africa we say doesn’t matter what you drive, there’s always a golf that’s faster than you, especially mk1 golfs, they’re insanely fast when tuned.

@@swaize8866 The I30N is awesome and it is a real bargain. At 32k you get a 275hp car with nice 4 cylinder sound (much louder than GTI and R) with lsd and dsg.

@@swaize8866 We are comparing new cars here, obviously used cars are just better deals. Considering the Audi S3 is 46.000€ in my country before options, i would have to spend between 15 and 18k extra to have a nice Audi S3. Idk if it is worth an extra 18k new.
On the used market it is the same, a 2018 Hyundai i30 N with 106 db stock and the best in class 4 cylinder sound is at like 22k where the Audi is a 10k-15k premium.
That is a lot of money for an interior which isn't my favorite and the standard VAG sound with rev limiter at 3500 rpm..

I have a stage 2 tune MK7 which had pops and bangs but after 5 years of it, I had it removed but still has some but only in sports, plus have ipe exhaust system and can open and close it. Absolutely love my Golf, 7 years old and still only 36ks on the clock but drive it hard. My wife has the 7.5 final edition stage 2 racingline and goes harder than the MK7

Yes, meanwhile in Australia the highest highway speed limit is 110km/h. But I guess our roads are shit as are most of our drivers, so probably for the best.
TVS is the DSG tuning king! those shifts are rapid and it holds the toruqe perfectly.

no autobahn here in aus, only had my mk6 r stage 1 for a few months and have gone 245 on some pretty bad tyres. super adrenaline pumping the first time. cant imagine going almost 300 in it ahaha. stage 2 soon tho so ill give it a go!
The Golf Gti and R are such a fun car to tuned and make it daily drive.
The Japanese used to make that kinda car with the old Evo , Wrx sti and type R. Sadly they don’t make it any more

@@mmkk2794 according to physics all the energy is in the fuel. the size of the engine, the turbos or superchargers, high pressure pumps, software and so on just have the purpose to force more fuel into the engine. so unless you find a car with an engine that way more efficient, which you won't, you won't have high power and good fuel economy
when "we need to brake" on the autobahn means going 240 and "too many cars" means going 200. Love it

Not a fan of Volkswagens but always liked the Golf Gti and the Golf R and after watching this simply 😍😍 😍 with just 492HP and that DSG transmission man this thing looks fun to drive and it's going to embarrass many more expensive cars with even more power also those crackles pops and bangs are just damm nice to listen every time max let's of the throttle this thing just the complete package with stock sleeper looks I'd want as a daily❤️

@@Usernameunkown123 So I’m guessing you’re the cars owner? Is it dual injected, or direct only? I know that it can come on Euro spec cars but ours only have direct injection in the US. Have you modified your DSG beyond tuning it and how is it holding up to that power? I have an Alltrack that I would eventually like to build to this level of power, but man it seems to be a lot of money to do everything I would want.
@@aluminumfalcon552 Let me give you a hint it's expensive and considering you're not in Europe good luck man. Maintaining germans in general is expensive in the US. Compare for example if you'd buy a charger srt or a corvette. In America assuming a reasonably good salary it's alright to keep it and maintain it. In Europe it's hard to even find parts and when you find them the price is insane. Just sucks to have interest in cars that aren't manufactered close to home. German cars do have a really good rep though

@Pete C I’m pretty sure that you’re aware by now that he had the car in race mode and he didn’t have the key fob to close the exhaust. In regular driving mode it’s actually very quiet.
