One of two commandments Christ gave to believers in Him. The other reiterations of the ceremonial Law of Moses given to Israel could not be carried out by anyone. No one can fulfill the Law but Christ, not until the New Covenant is enacted in the millennium in which God will cause Israel to be holy (Ezekiel 36, Jeremiah 31).
The first command was to obey the Gospel and believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ according to the scriptures. It is by grace alone through faith alone and without works of merit that one is saved eternally. The second is to love the brethren by believing their testimony of Christ in them.
