- I could not but upload this great version of this popular carol. I especially enjoyed the organ interlude.
This is part of the Christmas Eve Service of Eucharist at Westminster Abbey, broadcast live on BBC One on Tuesday, 24th of December 2013.

That organ is truly a majestic instrument.
Thank God for the Anglican Tradition. They have preserved the holiness, the sacreness and the reverence deserved by our beloved Saviour. Above all the grandeur and splendour pours forth from Heaven. The organ overwhelms in heavenly majesty. As for the choir it's angelic.

I knew I wasn't the only one to listen to Christmas music all year. It's my bedtime and cheer up music. God bless us... every one!
Christmas has nothing to do with Jesus Christ, not everyone who says to Jesus Lord, Lord, will enter into heaven, but only those who do the will of the Father in heaven, Jesus started the ground work and showed us how to do it, read the new testament. Weeping and gnashing of teeth await for those who believe not in the truth
And Catholosism is deception, only following Jesus Christ in the way that the apostles did is truth
@@godmadechamp You don't earn your way into heaven

Westminster Abbey is so beautiful There are people in this world who would destroy such beauty because they hate the Lord. The song itself says, "Who would not love thee, loving us so dearly?" A heart that doesn't know it's loved will have no love in it.

Your courageous stubborness in our darkest hour when all hope seemed lost is not forgotten over here in the Netherlands. We revere your fallen heroes, especially here around Arnhem the town where my father saw the Angels of Freedom land from the sky and where I was born just south of the John Frost bridge. We honour the British and the Free Polish heroes. At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them. Thank you.

One of the greatest sacred Christmas carols of all time.
I was raised Presbyterian (Church of Scotland actually, the originals) a great blessing. We share the same hymns
Hark! The Herald Angels Sing for me👍🏻
I mean the list of classic Christmas carols isn't that big, so most of the Christmas carols are "one of the greatest" if you actually know them. And a carol by definition is sacred. If it's not sacred, it's not a carol, it's a Christmas song, or worse, a holiday song. But yes, for me this is the quintessential carol. I don't my favorite necessarily, but it's the exemplar somehow, perfect on every way.
Gotta say, some of the lesser known stuff is just bangin as well. I didn't know that medieval Christmas music was an available genre until last year, and some of that is really good stuff, and a couple of my favorites are from the shape note tradition, Star In The East is one, Babe of Bethlehem is another. Sherburne and Milford. And I think it's a newer composition in the old style, but the song Glory Shone Around in the Shenandoah Harmony (and the Cooper Sacred Harp) goes hard, literally.
Don't wait until Christmas, listen today, fall on your knees, and ask for forgiveness, today is the day!!!! God bless us all abundantly!!!
Luke 2:11 "Unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."
The Anglican Mass looks so much like the Catholic Mass. I feel like we are back in communion with one another 😍

@@johnking5174 That got my ancestors thrown out of Switzerland and they lost their land and inheritance and property and knowledge of family history and founded the USA and fought the American Revolution for freedom.
It is the Catholic lyrics being used in the Hymn. Both Anglicans and Catholics have a lot of similarities, but they also have a good number of differences. But I do consider them as Authentic Christian Churches unlike the money making scam so called Mega Churches run by pastors who are only in it for money.
The big difference between the two faiths is lose the Pope and add women clergy. Some high Anglican churches are more RC than some main stream RC around here. My wife is a former RC and now is an Anglican Priest, a Canon of our Cathedral.
This is breathtaking and so reverent. This is what a worship service should be.
The smell of incense in our high church ceremonies is truly amazing

ERICK: can’t have it both ways, bro. Gotta accept something’s by FAITH alone. Can’t see it or explain it, just go with that heart warming feeling. Let Him in, man.it won’t hurt, you’ll feel a peace that you’ve NEVER felt before. Look up at the sky at night. How far away, they stay in place. Planets revolve around the sun, like the Earth does. But they don’t collide.
Look at a baby. Tiny little human. Imagine creating such a miracle. It just IS, my man. Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart (not brain) and lean not to your OWN understanding. don’t try to de-code the IT . If we had the intelligence of God our Creator, we wouldn’t NEED Him. He wants us to love Him. Let go, and let God I’d the truth. Merry Christmas!

Rational Raven Right. You mean like the time when he said that you are to choose him over family and that if you didn't hate your family, you weren't worthy? Or perhaps the time he chased people out of the temple with a whip? Or the parable where he expressed desire for his enemies to be killed in front of him? Or when he didn't know when figs are in season so he threw a temper tantrum and killed the tree? Or where he said that if you aren't with him, you are against him? Or where he turns his back on his mother and family? Or where he advocates thought crime? Or how about the very idea that you will endure torment in an awful place that he created for the crime if not believing in him as a god? It's almost as if you haven't read his story.
Hahaha You are good at distortions. I won't reply because english is not my first language. Just one question: Are you with Christ or against him?

HAHAH "sky fairies"! You really believe Jesus would have been crucified and forsaken for something that wasn't real? You really believe all the Apostles would have been horrifically tortured and in many cases crucified for something they made up?
