3:28 WRONG, Doom 3's shotgun is the working horse of the game. The best weapon for taking out most enemies in a single hit. If you don't kill them in a single hit, you're playing the game wrong. Close the gap, take cover during attack animations and aim well. Someone described Doom 3 as "whack a mole", basically accurate.

Let’s go we’re back boys
Just finished it on Iron Horse difficulty, and the boss fight is NO JOKE.
Literally everything kills you in one shot, so the healthkits are not even used, and that unfortunately applies to the boss.
The boss on Iron Horse requires almost all the ammo in the room to kill (Also there is a big caster hiding on the right before you get to the exit door (KILL IT FIRST)).
Locking it into the pillar only works for a few shots before it corrects itself. The main issue is the boss can charge its attacks and move at the same time, so it's very common for it to circle your cover and unleash a shot before you can even find safe cover (about 6 times the pillar didn't even block the projectile, so it phased through it and killed me instantly).
Best advice is to hug the pillar, PRAY the pillar stays solid, understand the shot comes from near the back of the skull (basically where the jawbone connects), shoot only 2-3 bullets at a time, and LISTEN CLOSELY for the charge to make sure it doesn't catch you off guard from the music & shots you're firing drowning it out.

3:28 nah the Doom 3 shotgun has been slandered for too long now. In that specific footage of the timestamp, whoever uses that shotgun used it poorly. Doom 3 is a claustrophobic game and you're supposed to use it right in front of the enemy's face. Jarek made a good video on Doom 3 and explaining the shotgun.
