20:50 - Has Elon Musk lost control?
26:25 - Can you explain the toxic types of personalities?
About the book: Robert Greene is a master guide for millions of readers, distilling ancient wisdom and philosophy into essential texts for seekers of power, understanding and mastery. Now he turns to the most important subject of all - understanding people's drives and motivations, even when they are unconscious of them themselves.
We are social animals. Our very lives depend on our relationships with people. Knowing why people do what they do is the most important tool we can possess, without which our other talents can only take us so far. Drawing from the ideas and examples of Pericles, Queen Elizabeth I, Martin Luther King Jr, and many others, Greene teaches us how to detach ourselves from our own emotions and master self-control, how to develop the empathy that leads to insight, how to look behind people's masks, and how to resist conformity to develop your singular sense of purpose. Whether at work, in relationships, or in shaping the world around you, The Laws of Human Nature offers brilliant tactics for success, self-improvement, and self-defense.
About Robert Greene: Robert Greene is an American author known for his books on strategy, power and seduction. He has written five international bestsellers: The 48 Laws of Power, The Art of Seduction, The 33 Strategies of War, The 50th Law and Mastery.

I like how Mr. Green is trying to make people he's conversing with aware of their own personal behaviors/shortcomings, and how, unfortunately, sometimes his these people don't seem to be able to pick up on the (pretty obvious if paying attention) clues. Over explaining (asking a question in ten different ways, ..a simple question too👨‍🎤) while talking to an incredibly intelligent person (who probably knows what the question will be/is before you've even opened your mouth, figuratively speaking/writing) is also an interesting thing to watch/listen.., but watching is definitely more "interesting".

I literally stumbled onto this when I needed it most.
I'd said something to a client in a voice text; he'd given me one of his cd's to listen to, and being completely genuine in my praise of his music record I accidentally said something about myself to let him know that; having been a musician in the past I appreciate in particular how effortless his vocals sounded (he didn't know this about me because it was years ago & I'm his interior decorator now:)
It has haunted me for 24 hours that I may have sounded pretentious because he & his wife didn't respond to my text.
They are people that I'm dealing with on a daily basis to get their new home together for them & they constantly praise my design sense.
We have a very casual relationship (which I'm realizing may be a problem) so I think I lose sight too easily of the professional boundary.
I need to train myself to continue to allow clients to be their authentic selves, and me too, to a degree, but that maybe I should be the one who
is more measured in these relationships going forward.

Great, eye-opening, and encouraging interview. When I feel envy I try to transform it to inspiration. I prefer surrounding myself, if it’s only so “virtually” or by books and literature in certain times, with people who are/appears much more courageous, insightful, wise and talented than myself. See others as positive motivation and drive, and sometimes I can relate to potentials in me, or obstacles, to what I want to achieve. And the feelings of envy grows weaker; when I acknowledge it I can also let it pass and transform to something positive-inspiration. And then I can feel thankful and joy for the success of others. It is a kind of light feeling; light as in not heavy.

Letting go of the old me, & transforming myself through the rejection projected onto me by others. I was able to filter out truth from lies when it came to who I was as a person. I gave credit where it was due but I also learned to know on a deep level who I am and who I am not when it came to criticism.
