- Sometimes something is too good to be true. We obtained some BEAUTIFUL used hardwood flooring, the CATCH seems to be installing it. I will show you what issues we ran into, how we solved them, and how this floor is actually a labor of love.

Thanks for sharing the example. I have installed a wood floor myself and even a new floor is difficult to install especially if the floor isn't even. You are doing a great job and it is looking beautiful.

Preach! My hamstrings and I weren't on speaking terms for quite awhile after 3000 squats in a weekend, but that was measley click-lock.
was born and raised a flooring guy. you will have gaps, and wood moves over time. forget about the gaps, the flooring will be awesome. also, fancy nailer, we used to do it with glue and clamps. keep on it, it will be done before you know it. looking good.

My husband worked in a cabinet factory and brought home scraps, which he had to put a (sort of) tongue and groove onto. They were short pieces and not quite as thick, but the floor is beautiful and I love it. Gasp, we don't really take care of it, but I don't care. It looks loved and well used, and that's great. I'd rather have an old well worn wood floor than any other kind!
There is something charming about an old used wood floor! He sounds like a very clever guy!

Brian, We have LVP....AND guess what?!? All of the sudden, we now see a little nickel size dip here, quarter size there..OH, didn't know the floor leaned that way. It's like it shrink wraps itself to the concrete. We have aleady had to have the installers come back to replace planks that just split! So, YOU enjoy every minute of that floor! Every second you spend on it, is worth it!
