    To avoid some AE, take provinces in December, as the countries with -52 or -53 opinion will only be eligible to join in the brief time between then and January.

    To add to the improve relations tip, if the outraged nations are in a trade node that you have a merchant in, don't forget to set the improve relations trade policy, to get even more AE tickdown

    Another Tip: in most National Mission there is a mission that gives you -33% cost of suppressing Rebels. Just keep the Mission until you are in the Age of Absolutism and you can pick the Age-Bonus in Rebel suppression cost. Then you can get Absolutism for like nothing. 5 milpoints for every point of Absolutism

      but if they continued to +50 the nation would never join a coalition or would instantly leave it

    Heres my best tip. If youre in the empire and want to get an alliance with austria/current emperor to prevent unlawful territory you dont actually need to get the alliance before you go to war/peace out, just make sure they will accept an alliance on the same day you end your war.

      @QuarbitGaming  Před 3 lety +2

      You can check the autonomy of provinces before you take them. So you should see which ones are high autonomy, because they cost less warscore than equal dev provinces of low autonomy. It's a bit circumstantial, but important nonetheless.

    • @Speedster___
      @Speedster___ Před 3 lety

      @@Speedster___ if you want to cripple Russia or Ming making snakes is better than taking Dev. And in making long snakes you want low province warscore cost so you can take high autonomy provinces to this effect. Also if they are weak to you but strong to others this will keep them strong enough so you don't lose their provinces to other nations

    I used to think that Improve relations things were really annoying because I didnt know they had any impact on AE, and as such I was always really annoyed when I got coalitions and they took forever to go down, and thus I got mods to basically make AE a non-factor, and recently I have stopped using those mods because I wanted to see coalitions, however all the games I've had since Ive stopped using mods to cheat AE out of the game I haven't cared about AE most of the game because I am too powerful and they either don't form or I don't care.
    My first game doing it was a Chagatai-Mongol empire game, and by the time I was getting any decent amount of AE in nations that could threaten me, I was already Huge and so powerful that 270 AE would still mean nations wouldnt join against me.
    Thats fairly okay since i had 500k men whilst russia only had like 100k.
    however I wasnt expecting my recent prussia campaign where in like 1550 I have 170 AE in a lot of the HRE and I just don't care because I got lucky early game with an alliance with bohemia + austria along with other AE things so I was able to take a lot of pomerania (took the eastern Wolgast lands and puppeted them in the west) in one war, and from there It was easy pickings, It also helped that Austria got really powerful as they got burgundy in full + got hungary early (and thus integrated them early) and then later on took quite a lot of france, Including paris.
    TL;DR: I used to use AE cheat Mods and thus didnt care about AE, then my first games not using the AE cheat mods I barely cared about AE.
