You should go ahead and change them all considering the trouble / time it takes to access the injectors. They aren’t cheap but it’s well worth to replace them all , along with the fuel lines , and thermostat while doing injectors
I had it the same problem what I did add a Lucas fuel injector cleaner after the 10 miles driving knocking noise went away and run more smooth and shift like brand new!!!
My 2006 LBZ is doing the same thing on the same cylinder. I've got the truck at the shop, but the mechanic said his compression tester was lent out and won't be back until tomorrow morning. We're fairly sure it's the #4 injector, but he wants to sure it's not the piston that's cracked. I do not push my boost beyond 24 psi, and I otherwise never get the engine hot, so I'm really hoping it's just an injector issue! Thanks!
@@nickj6275 the injectors? I ahve a 2.4 4 cyl tacoma and its a gas engine but after a bad battery and highway trips I hear this kind of knocking and wondered if it could be injectors. so I got fuel injector cleaner and that alleviated that noise quite a bit but at higher rpm theres that knock sound again. I guess I gotta clean the injectors? what you think?
I had the same issue, mechanic turned off 8, sound stopped. I replaced 8, sound still there. But now when I unplug 7, (so bank 1,4,6,7) the knock stops. It’s like it moved? Any ideas thanks man
No, because it was only running on three cylinders, but by turning off the injector he was able to eliminate that knock which confirmed a bad injector.
@@lifewithrobb178 I assumed he was looking at a four cylinder engine, it sounded like one. In any case it was running on one less cylinder because of the disabled injector.
Pray my lb7 stays healthy🙏🏾
Lots of so called mcanic will say you need a new motor
Almost all of them just to get money out of you
This just happened to me. Brutal. Held my truck for two full days wouldn’t tell me injector rates , then said it’s rod knock I need a rebuilt engine

How long did the Lucas help?
Well it did help me a lot since I added no more nocking is been 4 months already and no nocking nose

Any update?
Must of had good compression or he would of came back
If my 98 is doing the same after replacing spider injection let’s think it’s the same issue
Hey man great video. Is it okay to drive a diesel with a fuel knock I need to be able to drive it for about 3 hours to get it to the repair shop
did you make it?
No!!!
I’d be so scared if my truck started making that noise
Well now you know what to check if it does

Nock nock who is there???? Let me out!!!!
Hey man I have question

As the saying goes, The loudest wheel gets the grease. Others couple be in the process of failing just your #8 was the worst one.
So the sound it makes when the video first started is normal sound?
Somewhat lol

@@karmicmessenger 3 cylinders? Or is it only running on 7 since he turned off one injector?
