As a LSU fan before/after Loss Miles era, it's soooooo refreshing to see the weapons actually being used. Yes Defense definitely has to tighten up but with the O being aggressive like so, I think they'll come around sooner than later.

I gotta say it was 2 things that was shown last night for the defense. 1) They was trying to make Texas pass with just 4 men coming after Texas and 2) Texas was tackling the shit out of chassion and they didn't start calling it till the 4th but what can you do
Yeah chassion did get held a lot but not an excuse for no pressure can’t be up to him every down. I know a couple series they just brought 4 guys and they just wanted to contain the qb. There game plan looked to be make the q throw and beat us I think the d will get cleaned up they looked gassed Dave will get them boys right.

I will say this. The defense normally isn’t on the field nearly as much as they were last week. LSUs offense is normally slow as hell. So when there marching down the field in 4-5 plays and scoring, the defense barely got any rest. Definitely more conditioning needed for the Defense. But anybody would get gassed if you have to play like that. Some A/C at halftime would of helped😉

I had to come to your page after thinkin we were both very high on Joe B after the spring game and seeing some of the new offense, like you said alot of people didn't think he had it in him, but he balled in the spring games at Ohip St and showed he could play in the spread then, just had some studs in front of him and now he is def hushing all the haters and is really looking like he has a good chance to hold that trophy in NYC come December, like the work you been doing, I always watch the LSU and TX stuff along with others, keep it up

I just think our defense has to get used to our offense scoring quickly. They were absolutely gassed in the second half. That's when the cramps and injuries started to mount on the D. Plus it was hot as Satan's toenails out there. Trust the defense is about to have one he'll of a week in practice. They better work on tackling asap.

It seemed like a totally different defense from the first half. I know the heat and dry climate got to them because I was in the stands cramping up. I think you’re 100% correct. They got gassed and lost their edge. We are gonna have to get a more efficient rotation or get used to the fast pace on offense.

Exciting to see LSU offense be vertical in the passing game. I don’t know why we didn’t see Emory more coming out the backfield since burrow threw that all over the field. Shocking to see them abandon the power run game. Fulton and stingley had pretty good games. Fulton got some flags but was in the pocket every time. Texas wr #6 killed in the slot. Kary Vincent didn’t want no problems

i notice alot of Texas yards came from their receivers being matched up against linebackers in zone. but LSU dbs did a decent job when they dbs was in coverage outside of when Fulton misjudged the ball and gave up a TD.

Man us tiger fans are excited down here. But just like when we had obj, Jarvis and company. We didnt gave a traditional LSU defense. I think this years offense is better than that. Especially once Coach O starts trusting his young backs in big games. Defensively we've got to be able to affect the qb more but I'm not so worried about that. Texas qb had way too much time with no pressure we gotta blitz Delpit or Queen a lot more... we score too fast now so it gives our defense no time to rest that’s why they all were cramping up then had to come out and chase their man every single play in the man to man schemes without any pressure on the qb that’s extremely hard to do but I think they’ll watch film and adjust.. on paper LSU have the best personnel on defense hands down to me they just need better schemes

Bruh.. LSU barely got out of Austin with a win.. Yes their offense was dynamic and pretty much unstoppable BUT the same could be said for the U.T. offense. So basically if they plan on getting into a shooting out, the team with a SLIGHTLY better defense or who ever ends up with the ball last will win the game.🤷🏿♂️

This is what we all wanted for LSU. But they didn't use the TE most of the night.... the run game is still iffy but the passing game is humming right now its going to keep us in alot of games this year
The TE is literally a slot receiver, so does it matter? Everybody got touches out of the slot. They may line the TE up in-line in a but of a max protect, but they clearly are a spread team in the mold of Oklahoma - so it probably doesn’t matter who’s catching out of the slot.
That run game about be upgraded. NCAA Ed Ingram (OL) just been cleared and reinstated back on the team.

I think LSU receiving core is the best in college, 3 great receivers who can start on any team and be productive. Idk how Alabama is going to be able to shut them 3 dogs down.
The same thing can be said about Alabama’s receiving corps in relation to LSU’s defense...However, I remain perplexed as to why everyone is assuming only Alabama is in the way of LSU considering LSU hasn’t lost just one game in like a decade. I can think of two other SEC teams that beat it just last season.

Pass-pro was the name of the game for this one. They barely cared about running the ball, and Edwards-Helaire is the man at it. Also, I dig them playing Fournette and Helaire and making the young guys earn it. LSU putting up points without the true freshman on offense who were highly touted. Shit got real in Baton Rouge.
