Guys, retired NYPD police sergeant here! the NYPD community affairs Bureau has placed and implemented together E-commerce safe zones at your local precincts to insure safety for both you and the buyer/purchaser. If a seller on the FB marketplace is selling an item in a designated location outside of the confines of your neighborhood police station, you’re at big risk of getting robbed, assaulted or maybe even killed. Stop doing E-commerce trades away from safety zones. If the seller is not willing to mutually meet at a precinct for the exchange it’s a red flag 🚩 don’t do it.

I'm a civilian in the NYPD.. anytime I'm making a purchase or selling selling something..I tell them to meet me at the police station...or at least on the same block as the police station..I don't let them no its a police block....if they refuse..I tell them good bye

I don't condone crime, but people you're meeting strangers. People sell items and tell people where you live.
Police stations have parking spots at some stations specifically marked for transactions. Use them please. Common sense.
