Facts
You're definitely missing some things by not watching the movie first. The fact that the front door's doorknob was made for Mirabel is very important.
I felt it reinforced what I thought by the middle of the movie: Mirabel didn't get a "door" because the whole house was hers.
In the Spanish version, it actually translates as “We found this one for you” as in the house made it before it was destroyed
Nah i think she didnt get a room cuz she already had a room. The nursery n that room was exactly what she needed.

The Madrigals were the reason their's even a town in the first place. And they're the ONLY family with magic. "Dos Orguitos," explains a bit of the backstory.
Do yourself a favor and do a full movie reaction. It is an amazing movie. I am not one to cry easily but this movie hit me in the feels real hard.
It's not that they're a first family. It's that they are a community. And community looks after and helps one another. It is their people. There is no riches or power motivating the help, just kindness and compassion. A hard concept for a lot of people to grasp.
Definitely is a must watch this really tells the struggle of not only the people of Columbia but also of immigrants and if you like it I recommend coco I cry every time I watch it because coco reminds me of my grandma

The movie Coco was an excellent movie the song Remember Me, brought tears to my eyes. Encanto is also a beautiful story. Also check out the song How Far I l'll Go from the movie Moana. I cry everytime I hear it.

Watching these out of context was really cool, actually! Your comments were insightful and I liked that you treated it with the respect it deserves. Whereas sometimes people just focus on the songs and the jokes and the cuteness and they miss out on the important emotional aspects but even without seeing the whole thing, you really seemed to catch those themes, so that was fantastic! 😊
As much as I'd love to see a whole movie reaction...I also want to make sure you know (since I didn't notice anyone talking about it in the comments) that Lin Manuel Miranda (of Hamilton fame) did a lot of the music for this. Idk if you've watched Hamilton, but that would be another great reaction to see!

Basically the movie is..
Abuela lost her husband, then a candle shined so everyone has a gift, abuela gave birth to pepa, bruno, and julieta, pepa controls the weather, bruno sees the future, julieta can heal you with a meal, pepa husband is felix, and they have their kids, dolores, camilo, and antonio, then julieta husband is augustine and they have kids, isabela, luisa, and mirabel, so what happened to the "What else can i do?" Song Bruno and mirabel were uh, seeing the vision, and to save the miracle, mirabel had to hug her sister, infront the candle, so she went to isabela's room, and tried to say sorry to her, then they fighted, but then, isabela makes a cactus, which she never makes cause she always makes pink beautiful perfect flowers, then, the candle shined brighter, there were no cracks, but then abuela is mad, which leads to the casita breaking, that's why their house was just like "nope" then, what happened to the "We dont talk about bruno" song, so basically, mirabel decided to go to brunos tower, she has the vision pieces, so she went to her room, but pepa was there, so yea, thats it, i dont have much memory when watching encanto. Also watch dos orugitas, it shows abuelas past. Oh yeah i forgot, what happens when mirabel puts the doorknob, the door came to life, so it seems to be like mirabels had a gift, which is casita, but is my theory, what do y'all think? Sorry bad grammar

This movie is like the beginning of up or the end of onward, but at like 4 different times throughout the whole film. Just so much feeling and complicated heavy things packed into one of the best animation I’ve ever seen. It’s amazing. Watch the movie!
The end of Onward when he's checking off the things he did with Barley on his list... I cried. Even just remembering it tears are welling up in my eyes. It was him all along. Barley was the dad Ian (wait, did I remember his name right?) never knew.

My suggestion is to watch the movie
Dude, if you can't think of any other animated/cartoon movies that are moving, then you HAVE to watch The Lion King (the 1994 original). And while you're at it, you could react to Circle of Life from that movie (not the Elton John version, and not the musical version either).
That movie always makes me sob, and the music score as well as the songs are stunningly beautiful. Particularly the score during the "showdown". The track is called "King of Pride Rock". If you want to review something instrumental, do that one. It's amazing and amazingly moving.
