- Bucketlist Item Complete! Three of my fighter pilot buddies and I fly our planes from Bend into the Alvord Desert of Oregon for a reunion camping trip and hot tub soak. None of us have done anything like this before so it promises to be an amazing adventure. Two of my friends bring their boys and toys to rage around the playa before cooking some delicious steaks. The next day we fly down the road a little ways to a famous remote gas station for milkshakes.
