    @Uprighthealth
    Suzette here.
    I have always been a strong believer in stretching, even when other movements were difficult, I still did "some" stretches.
    And FYI Mr. Matt, you are indeed a wise man, and I will forever be grateful to you and your work. 🤙
    To the person in pain watching this video and reading this comment with the hopes of getting relief from Knee and other body pains, I am living, WALKING proof that Upright Health will change your life.

      How did you begin, Suzette? Was this an online program? I need help!!❤️🥰

      @melanieclay1262 I just started with an Upright Health Knee Pain Video and went from there. All the help you need is right there on the channel ☺️. Once my knees started working properly, I went on to do hips, ankles, and back, and at this point (almost 2 months since I found the channel) I've pretty much the done whole body. You just got to start, I promise you there is a video here to help you.

    Very relatable story.
    In 2023, after 30 doctor and PT appointments plus imaging I still didn't have a comprehensive treatment plan for my back, hip, knee, foot pain. I suffer from Hypermobility but it never stopped me until I was much older. At 60 I was getting all over pain from instability and weakness. I couldn't get assessed properly and it was getting to the point where I felt that the doctors were making me worse not better. It was so stressful fighting for good health care.
    Doctors were trying to convince me that it was age and I had to accept the pain. I tried a few things like doing my PT exercises and exercises from various youtubers. That was inconsistent for me and it did help keep the pain at bay but I knew it was deeper than that. I knew that first I would have to heal my inflammation and my pain before I could truly strengthen. Doctors kept trying to convince me that it was the natural aging process and I had to accept the pain.
    Although Matt is skeptical that diet alone will help, I went on the carnivore diet in January 2024 and within the first 3 weeks 90% of my inflammation was gone along with the pain. Now I only have some pain where I'm injured (labrum tear and hip impingement) and no where else. I'm walking farther and doing my exercises again plus working on my posture and gait. I've lost 30 lbs of extra weight and soon I feel I will be ready to start back to the gym. Everybody has a different journey but if pain is an issue I feel that a few weeks of the carnivore diet will prove to be worth it for reducing and elimination pain and inflammation. Good luck everyone.

    Matt, this is further proof that your exercises are effective. I continue to use your exercises. I too have bad knees but thankfully have not yet had to do surgery but figured that was in my near future. Your exercises have removed that from my future! I can now use the stairs with ease and i can even do the Asian squat which was impossible before. All the best to you and continued success.

    Thank you Upright Health

    The lady is 100% right about The Hip aka Buritis . I have the same crap for several years .
    I have Trendelenburg Gait ( my right hip is Weak and my left leg is shorter ) .
    I have to lose weight to be able to have 2 knee replacement , but I'll have one knee replacement at a time.

    • @suzpjr
      @suzpjr Před měsícem +2

      Hi, "the lady" here lol. I did not have Knee replacements yet, the surgeries I had were to 'fix' the ACL tears. But Knee Replacement was going to be an option for me the way things were going. But NOW there is no need for it. PLEASE try Upright Health workouts first. I know everyone's issues are different, but I'll bet in a few weeks (or less) you will feel such a relief, that like me, you will stop thinking of knee replacement. Even my Hip Bursitis is getting better now that I no longer have a limp.

    Your videos are great but I can't do the stretches and exercises at my computer. Have you considered doing an illustrated book grouped by the area being strengthened , knees, back, shoulder, etc.? A spiral-bound book that could be taken along when traveling, and used in different locations as the opportunity arose would be nice.

      If you can't use your computer or phone another quick fairly cheap option I have used in the past is to get a miracast or something like that and mirror your phone or computer to your TV and as long as the TV has a hdmi it can travel with you

      When you load up his channel, use the lil search bar that's in the channel to filter his videos using keywords like "posture" to get specific videos. I didn't realize with my back pain, that my hips were quite atrophied, doing his hip strengthening videos helped eliminate my back pain, but I've so many of his videos, they're awesome. Just start with the most affected area, then work your way through. Hope it helps :)

    These types of movements and exercises helped me a little bit but couldnt be a solution for having no cartilage left in my knee. Surgeries made everything worse. Stretching and strengthening did get me about 50% better though. What got me the rest of the way to 100% was stem cell therapy on my knee. 1 year out from that and its like i have a new knee, without all the pain and awful ramifications of surgery. It doesnt work for everyone but if you have the means its absolutely worth trying in my opinion. Then that combined with continued movements, stretches, and strength exercises has me maintaining my pain free active lifestyle. 👍

    Is there a good way to know what is safe to do if you have a broken foot? I had been walking and doing some of your exercises and was getting stronger and feeling more fit even with 165 pounds to lose, but I was headed out for a walk last week and fell, breaking my foot. The ortho said we had been doing well with the wraps and everything, and told me to order a tall boot and what size to get so it would fit around my calf (urgent care had put me in a too small boot that caused a ton of pain). Ive done a few things on the other side that I can do from bed, but that also wasnt the side I need strengthened for pain issues. Lol. He said I could be weight bearing on my heel after I get my boot, but my chiro is really concerned about that because the ortho hadn't really addressed the ankle bone that is broken. Is there a way to safely do something while I am down? Rest and ice are a thing right now to help with swelling and bruising, but I dont want to get stuck there either.

    Hey man do you or anyone you know work solo or do physical therapy coaching one on one with experience with older adults? My mothers got “bad hips” arthritis bone spurs etc from doctors, she does better with actually being able to talk to someone than following programs. Let me know if possible, thanks for the content.
