Very nice video. I kinda disagree with your opinion about the silhouette art style in the original though; I think that this toegether with the grainy real life photographs and the really amazing sound design actually gives this game the perfect eerie/slightly unsettling vibe. Still makes me want to play the remake though, not being able to read Japanese I feel like getting my hand on an English translation of one of the remakes/sequels is my best bet at experiencing something about this story that goes beyond watching gameplay videos.

I got as far as the Ryukishi07 route which I liked. After that are any of the other routes worth pursuing? Well I guess I'll wait for the next video.

as someone who has watched a "playthrough" of the ios port years ago does it spoil the experience of the visual novel itself? i know you said it was missing routes and stuff so-
Sad to say, but yes probably. I believe Kamaitachi no Yoru Rinne Saisei only adds 2 extra routes, the rest should be the same as the original. Granted I'm not 100% sure since I haven't played the IOS version but that's my assumption.
I was kinda interested in this VN. If it's outdated cheesy "horror B Film" writing scenario, I'll likely pass.
BUt good on them for being an influence on future mystery stories.
