  • Kamaitachi no Yoru sure has a bunch of routes, ye know, depending on what you consider a "route."
    Here's my spoiler look at all the routes in Kamaitachi no Yoru Rinne Saisei, a remake of Chunsoft's legacy title.

    Drowned in a pool of blood?
    No no.
    You get your skull chainsawed in half while being dunked in the pool of blood but fully conscious.

    Wow, didn't expect there to be any videos on Kamaitachi, especially this good. Watched previous and this one.
    I have been getting back into visual novels lately, so your channel is a great find!

      I didn't expect anyone to actually be interested in Kamaitachi no Yoru, so thanks for watching!

    Hey Zirion, great video! Would love to see more single visual novel reviews from the channel!

      As in combining this video and the last together into a single video? Or just VN content in general?

      @@Zyraizo I think having multiple videos on one VN like you do with this one is great, I’m just saying that also having more general single video reviews or retrospectives for more VNs could make your channel more accessible.
      For example, a video titled “ranking all 11 routes in Kamaitachi no Yoru Remake” might get the interest of people who are interested in Kamaitachi no Yoru specifically, but people who’ve never heard of it probably won’t watch (unless they’re like me, and you’re the only VN youtuber they’re subscribed to).
      Something like “Essential VNs - Kamaitachi no Yoru Remake” or “You Should Play - Kamaitachi no Yoru Remake” would probably get a lot of views from people who are generally interested in VNs but maybe don’t know anything about KnYR.
      Again, nothing wrong with having vids like this, and above all else make videos you enjoy. This vid has def made me add KnYR to my list. But, as you’re the only VN youtuber I’ve come across, I see a lot more opportunity for more general, accessible VN content on yt.
      I found your channel a couple years ago because I searched videos on the Rance series, and yours was one of the only ones that looked deeply into the series. But think how many more people in the VN space you could attract if you had a more general series like my examples above. “Essential VNs” or “VNs You Should Play” or even singular, specific VN reviews/deep dives.
      There are a lot of vids on your channel that I don’t watch bc I just don’t know and don’t care to know about the subject of your video from your title. That being said, when I do click, I always enjoy them. Your japanese puppet show video, for example, was awesome and I never expected to be interested in something like that.
      Sorry for the novel of text, I just really enjoy your channel and would love to see you grow. If you have any other VN youtuber recommendations, please lemme know. Keep doing your thing 👍🏻

    Thanks I enjoyed the video. It definitely make sense when you play it that it is from the early days of VN as a medium. The very definition of a 6/10 for me. Nice but... Not really that memorable I guess.
    Also I just saw on your Twitter you're going to do a Raging Loop video soon. Now THERE'S a VN which I have a strong opinion about, particularly with regards to the ending. Actually Raging Loop is a good example of a VN which took the branching plot UI from Kamaitachi no Yoru and improved it a lot in my opinion.

      @Zyraizo  Před 2 lety +1

      "Soon" is a strong word, let's say it's being worked on. I'll probably have to go back and play it to refresh my memory about it. As for strong opinions about the ending, yeah well, suffice to say I understand what you mean by that. I was curious enough to think about checking Death Match Love Comedy, but never got around to it because there's probably better VN's to read first.

    So glad to see coverage of the different routes of this game. I knew it was famous for its many endings but what little coverage there is generally only covers the main story.
    On the topic of the Novel route, it's actually an adaptation of a novelization of the original game, written by the original writer Takemaru Abiko. It was released as part of an official fan book, and intentionally changes bits of the story to stay fresh for fans of the game.

    • @DGneoseeker1
      @DGneoseeker1 Před rokem

      Wait... so what was the plot of the original game? Very similar to the remake? Because the novel was VERY different.

    • @amr-OH
      @amr-OH Před rokem

      @@DGneoseeker1 yeah the original game was pretty much the same as the main route in the remake, but the writer was a novelist, so he adapted it and made it very different so it wasnt redundant

    You know in the endings where basically everyone got killed and you end up dead yourself?
    Anyone actually know who the hell the killer WAS in those endings? Because it seemed to me that there was literally nobody it could possibly have been.

    • @Zyraizo
      @Zyraizo  Před rokem +1

      It's been a long time since I last played the game, but if I remember correctly, Mikimoto never actually gets shown dead in any part of the mystery route. So it's always him. They only ever show the bed sheets and Tooru checking his hand.

    • @DGneoseeker1
      @DGneoseeker1 Před rokem

      @@Zyraizo So we're to assume he just stuck his hand out of the window then lay REALLY still?
      The silhouette in at least one of those endings looked more like Kanako...
